So are you sure he didn’t mean they needed to keep your car for the full day bc they do, on avg, about 15-20 cars a day (depending right) and/or they needed to wait for the part to be delivered. Bc it wouldn’t make sense for them to take up a bay for a whole day to do a CV boot. They would definitely lose money.

And don’t quote me but I think their rate is $125 vs the dealer is $225 (Rusnak or West Covina)

They also do a lot of preventative maintenance too. Bc if it’s, out why not fix it, right? So if just an inner cv boot cover, they run about $70. For the whole inner unit, it runs about $300.

They’re fair. And Ferris isn’t a super aggressive, in your face kind of guy. But if you’re happy with your dealership, it’s cool. Just saying I had/have good experiences there.

Needs to pass smog. Cat monitors are not ready and have driven illegally trying to get them to go.

License plates were stolen and DMV won't give me temporary, or replacement without first passing smog test.

Car came to me in a dream and said either pass me or part me. I wanna try to keep her on the streets, she's still got a strong heart.

Anyone know a shop that can help me save her? Inland Empire/Temecula (California)

Put on some OEM cats, whatever you have won’t pass visual and maybe the sniff as well. They should be able to use your VIN without plates. Just contact the shop.

Poor idea looking for illegal smog shops online. It’s a very expensive fine if you’re busted.

I'm updating this thread- not going to recommend European Autohause. Way overpriced and they did try to gouge me $$. They also damaged the rear bumper paint- but it already had some other scratches, so it was getting repainted anyway. But they did damage it and never said anything.
It's hard to find a good Audi mech in the area surprisingly...still searching

Fares??? He quoted me close to $400 just to replace the passenger Inner CV Boot, saying it is going to be an all day job! Bull Fooking S!!! I let my dealer make the money, plus I get a newer Audi loaner, fresh coffee, hot cookies, a wash (which I usually decline), and some buxom broad to say hello to. Fares and his entourage doesn't know jack!

European Autohause in Pasadena. Sean or Ferris know their stuff really well.

Bestiale seems great. I went there for what ended up being very minor work but he and his wife were super friendly and welcoming. Eurotech is allegedly the best in the area but I've called for quotes on random things and they are pricey af

Used Diamond Auto Salon in Westlake, CA to do my PPF & ceramic coating. They also removed the old limo tint, installed new ceramic tint (sides/rear) and DYNOflex windshield film.
They use STEK for their PPF, not sure if they also install XPEL. But I've had no problems with the STEK film.
