Where to go for Senior Trip?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm a senior in HS. It's between backpacking in Europe type of thing, or Cabo or Maui hotel type of thing, or cruise. I came to AZ because I know that, most of you out of High School (and more wise than I), would know what the smarter and more fun experience in the long run would be. The budget will probably be around 800/person. Probably 5 people.

$800, if you're lucky, will only get you the plane tickets to Europe... Its quite an expensive trip.

    I vote tropical island.

Then you can go Euro-packing with some friends after you graduate in the summer. Oh yeah, nice choices you have!

True that! I just looked at round trip flight to Rome and it's like $1150!!!
Hawaii may be the smartest choice. My family has SOME hawaiian miles, and hopefully we'll be able to use my friend's parent's time share. Although backpacking with friends would be SO much fun.

Eh, my friend just got back from Maui, where he stayed for 8 days off of $400. Renting bicycles, staying in hostels. He said it was a pretty fun trip, and through networking at the airport, got a free ticket to Utah from some girls he met!

what's the appeal of hostels? honestly, i'd rather save my money up for a nice trip to stay at some good hotels. Backpacking around Europe? really? just doesnt sound fun.
I'd vote for going down to cabo, hawaii, or just staying local and camping on a beach smoking some of cali's finest club card weed. you'll senior-trip the fuck out of your mind on shrooms, and dropping acid you'll have a vacation in your mind.
Camping in southern Utah is nice in the spring. I think Moab is where a few buddies of mine go and rough it for a few days in the wilderness for spring break

Backpacking in Europe doesnt sound fun? Are you serious?

I'd start off with this shit in the Netherlands :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkwldOtOv-4

There is so much crazy shit going on there! Oh and did I mention the European ass there?

Oh and if youre looking for a crazy trip on shrooms/acid, go to Burning Man!!

Re: Where to go for Senior Trip?

Being from PA, the schools in my area always defaulted to Ocean City, MD. It's not the big lavish trip like everyone here is proposing, but it was the time of my life. Being wasted on the beach with hundreds of kids from my area with no adult supervision for a week was a blast. It was pretty cheap too! I've been to Europe a few times, Cancun, and all over FL on various vacations, but that OCMD trip still ranks up there as one of the most fun trips.

I wouldn't recommend you fly all they way out here from the West Coast, but I would think you have a similar kind of beach out there.

    Don't be silly.

Take a cruise - go to a travel agent and have them book you on a nice cruise with other High School "kids" - that way you aren't floating around with a bunch of senior citizens. International waters = 18yo drinking and you'll have plenty of hotties confined to one place for a week, looking to have fun and create memories. It's a no-brainer! You'll have a great time seeing exotic places, experience great weather and crystal clearwater and have TONS of chances to bang chicks that you've never seen before and will probably never see again!

Cabo can get crazy... save the europe trip for college... either study abroad or backpack for a summer... you wont regret 10 weeks in Europe... its amazing.. and for sure stay in hostels.. you meet a ton of people your age, they are cheap and generally don't care what you do.. its hte only real way to go to Europe if your under 25

Do the tropical drinking binge routine. You're young and shoudl do it while you can. Backpacking through Europe is more of a thing that takes a certain level of maturity to appreciate. It's not that you won't appreciate art, food, or good drinks but in my opinion it's easier to appreciate with age.

unfortunately, I won't be legal. I don't turn 18 until November. Since the school birth date cutoff when starting kindergarten is December, I could have waited 1 year to start school and been one of the oldest, or (what i did) start as one of the youngest.

Truth, went to Cancun last summer . My routine was wake up, go down to the pool around 11, drink, beach, more drinking. Pregame at the hotel, then go out clubbing...that for a week straight .
Plus, Cancun is a very big international destination, so you get a mix of a bunch of South Americans, Europeans, and Americans from every state. Also, the main age range was from 18-25.

Every cruise I've been on you need to be 21 or older to drink on the boat, being off the boat is a different story. It doesn't matter if you are in international water the boat will have its own rules.

My senior trip will be at balboa island.
