    2.7T vacuum lines diagram????

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello, Does anyone have a diagram for the 2000 2.7T models? I have a vacuum leak somewhere and can't figure out where... It sounds like it's coming from the TB area, but did not see anything there, I even replaced the TB gasket to the intake manifold, And i believe this vacuum leak is the reason for mt missfire code on cyl #6... anyway, if anyone has a vacuum diagram it will be greatly appreciated, and BTW, does anyone know a good trick to find vacuum leaks, I tryed the starter fluid on all connections but that did'nt work
Any help will be greatly appreciated

No idea where a diagram would be. I'm assuming you checked your throttle body boot?

take all the covers off, and with the engine running start spraying brake/carb cleaner all over the intake and vac hoses... Once you hit the area where the leak is, the car should stumble. That's the area of the leak.

depending on your how old/how many miles your car is, it's prolly a torn TBB.
inspect that area for sure. have someone get on the throttle while you are up front around the bonnet. you should be able to narrow down where the hiss is coming from. when i tore my TBB's many many ages ago... it looked fine, but upon further inspection it was completely torn apart underneath. i could stick my fingers into it.

but if you want a diagram, there is a small diagram of the whole vacuum system on the inside of the hood on the pass side closest to the dash. its very small, but has all the vacuum connections. hard to believe but true. it looks like a certification sticker, but look closely... DIAGRAM! =)

I bought 3.5mm (several feet) from BlauParts and used it to replace some rotting hose around the back of the engine where my boost gauge taps in and also used it at my DV valves. Seems like the perfect replacement size for those areas at least.

Any luck finding the vac leak???

I'm having the same exact problem right now, I've done everything and am currently in the process of looking for a vac leak. I'm missing on cylinder 6 (as well as the rest of the cylinders although not nearly as much) and its only under light load driving

if you still have original plastic T pieces then check the one under the Y-pipe.. theres a hose which comes from the top of the manifold and Ts off to the N249 valve... i had a crack in that T piece which could not be seen by eye

just like you described, i could hear it... but couldnt find it for ages

Here's a pic. Though mine doesn't have it, the hose you connect to has some sort of fabric cover on it. This will give an idea of where it is:

It's the T-fitting. The hose that goes to the right connects to the Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) that you see at the bottom of the pic (it has the sticker on it with Audi rings and AK on it).

OKAY, so I got it defined to 2 hoses now. The Left or Right threaded one? I'm guessing the Right One since it goes right into the FPR. Here's a pic of mine, let me know.

I suppose this threaded line, hence it goes into the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Cool, thanks a lot!

Sweet, thank you so much! Installing a boost gauge is so much easier than I thought :)
I'll go search for some gauges and get one installed as soon as I can.

Some shops have what's called a vacuum leak tester. It basically blows smoke into the vacuum lines, and wherever the leak is smoke will come out! You could check with the local high-school auto shops and see if they have one they'd let you use for a minute.

I know it's a year late, but I figure there will be someone else with the same issue.

There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

Does anyone happen to know what size vacuum lines are on a 2000 A6 2.7t Quattro...I know there are at least 3 different type; one larger, one smaller, and one that has a woven casing. Any pointers in finding a suitable replacement for all these would be helpful.

The above vacuum diagram doesn't really show the PCV system. There is a line that comes off the bottom center of the intake manifold...spray there. Also, the intake manifold gasket may have a leak.

Have you done a pressure test?

Im having troubles finding my boost leak. Ive replaced both dv's, spider hoses, wastegate sensor and my mas, but too no avail. Are the downpipes coming from the dv's to the turbos or wherever they go supposed to be welded or have clamps? Mine are loose and im assuming thats part of the problem but not sure. Any advice?
