Well ones an "extended reach" version and the other is regular I guess. The extended reach makes a great difference in speed. And I been wondering why my downloads seem so slow these couple of days.

[Standard Package (317-1.5mp/317 or something like that)]
[$52.00/mo (this is the price now after the one year introductory)]
Extended reach: 637/213
Regular: 317/212

The different modems doesnt effect my crappy upload though and those numbers are still crappy. Ah, I miss my good old days of 718/718 SDSL for 24.99/mo. Sonic.net's DSL deals seem very reasonable at this point for me.

Anyhow please report your ISP/speed package/price month/ and of course your speed please.

[edit: Seems I'm stuck with the slower modem, because the extended reach modem is the broken one that keeps desyncing on me. It did twice between writing this post. #$@%$#@$#@!! ]

I'm gonna go unplug the router and hit the modem directly and see if maybe thats the issue.

anyone ever tried to tweak their internet connection? i see links to it on that site dukez put up, i've never tried it cause i dont want to screw up my internet connection and not know how to fix it.
