Thinking of REVO Chipping. Need input

So After owning my car for a full year I have come to the conclusion that I need to spice her up a little bit. I was thinking about chipping my car and an exhaust. Im goin to go with the Milltek dual exhaust so my mind is already made on that one. Its the chip where the problem resides. So my buddy has a VW 1.8T with Revo tuning and the Sps3 switcher controller. I know REVO has tuning availability for the B5 S4, but I was wondering does anyone have the REVO tuning and where did you get it done at. There are no dealers around me so I would have to ship. Trying to find most reliable dealer to ship to. If you have the REVO software how is it and do you wish you had a different chip. Another dillema I have is I have yet to find anyone around me with a chipped S4. I live in Beaumont Texas during the Summer and I go to school at CSU in Fort Collins Colorado during school year(So if there is anyone around with a chipped S4 I would love a ride). Any information would help on this. I searched the forum on this tuning but mainly all I got was A4 1.8T tuned ones. I want to hear from a 2.7T guy.
Im looking at a short shifter too (Im a 2000, so its the older one). Which one looks to be the best?
    Thanks in advance

If you want input, my car is REVO Stage III + and a friend of mine has the REVO Stage I chip with all of the Stage II accessories.

Drop me an email and we can chat.

I'd be interested in the same...

Currently APR Stage II+ but considering K-04's stand alone with Stage II software, DP's etc.

    Drop me a line.......

My experiences have been awesome. There are some RS4 based programs that I would recommend steering clear of on the Stage III unless you have all the RS4 goodies (cams, TB, intake manifold, and etc.) but, all in all it is a solid program.

The ability to tweak the program easily at your desire is leaps and bounds beyond any other program offered on the market place as of this time. The power output is easily equal to and in many cases more that comparable to the commonly known programs.

One caution - when running this program you have to be self moderated. The program has the capability to run above operating capacities of turbo's and other anciliary engine parts. For example do not expect to tweak your timing way out on pump gas or set the request boost to 26psi on K03's. (much like APR or GIAC don't run a race gas program on pump gas) This is common sense but, must be stated for those who think of engine control parameters as a fun meter, i.e. just crank it up without knowledge of operating capacities and consequences.

For those of you with the desire to custom tune and not go stanalone (big $$$$$) this is a good option. It also easily lends itself to Lemmiwinks tweaking as REVO is the company who provided the program to us.

You should give Avalon Motorsports a call, they are based here in Colorado (imagine that, Co with a reputable tuning shop). I just had my A4 chipped by them, they do GIAC and Revo Chips/programs.

    Give them a call, 303.400.3001

    Tell them Adam sent ya!

Car is running great. Im starting to get used to the chip, and now I want more. Maybe a K04 in the spring if the k03 goes.

Not to hold anything against Avalon, but I have a friend that got his GTI Revo Tuned there and he got the run around. I know it doesnt happen to everyone, and Euro Code Tuning is giving a free diverter valve with chip tuning. So all I have to do is buy one more valve and I think that is a pretty good deal. Maybe next time Im in Denver Ill stop by Avalon and get to know some of the people that work there. I know everyone has a story of someone getting the run around at every shop, but its just my impression that makes my decisions. Nothing against the shop. I have no way of making an assumption because I have never been there. This free diverter valve deal is hard to pass up though. Thats like 130 outta the way.
Im not trying to piss anyone off Im just giving my two cents. So if anyone is angry at my post please PM me and we can talk about it like mature adults.
    Thanks
    Will
