RS4 Fuel pump specs?

As it turns out I received a faulty RS4 pump with my APR stage 3 and APR is not covering a new one for me. I was wondering if anyone had the specs (flow rating) on the RS4 pump so I can get a comparable pump without paying $800 or whatever it is.

There is only 1 pump. I think you are referring to the fuel pressure regulator.

You can get an 044 pump or a walbro 255 pump, both of which work quite well.

I purchased a brand new kit from someone who had it sitting for 2 years and even though it was brand new they said because it had been sitting for so long they can't cover it. Pretty shitty. I'll prob pick up a bosch 044.

For the price, I would get the 044. I wouldn't get a 255...those things are really hit or miss.

Awesome info!!! Exactally what I was looking for. 044 is just slightly less for 1/4 the price. Any write ups for 044 install or would getting the 034 be a better choice?

The 044 holds it's volume better throughout the pressure range than the RS4 pump. If you look, it starts out flowing slightly less fuel than the RS4, but ends up surpassing it very quickly.

The walbro is a great pump. There are far more walbro's in use that work great, we just don't hear about them because nobody likes to talk about things that work normally. The 044 is also a good pump, though.

You just replace the stock pump with the 044 like you would any replacement pump. Just make sure you drain the fuel tank to at least 1/4 before installing the new pump.

I had a walbro on a previous car that was brand new and it just decided to go tits up so I later changed to the 044 Bosch unit and boy was it awesome. Outflowed the walhbro and lasted alot longer.

I, like many others, am using the Walbro and it's been great, I have no lack of fuel at all and have had no issues. I think there are MANY others, like me, who just don't say anything. It's only those people who have had their pumps fail that say anything. For the number of walbro's in use, the percentage of failures is very small.

My APR supplied RS4 fuel pump died too. I replaced it with a Bosch 044 pump, works fine.

anyone have the part # for the holder, screen, etc for the 255 or the 044 I know they sell them as kits but the pumps by themselves are cheaper and I have a spare 255 sitting around I figure I try to use that

And is they a diy
