What brochure? And what exactly does it say? Usually company brochures to compare their own vehicles in this manner for the simple reason they want you to be happy with either choice.

    dude think about, 2.0T = 4 cyl, 3.2=6 cyl. 2.0T = 207 hsp, 3.2 = ~250. More power = more fuel.

    Audi's web site says:

    2.0 TFSI quattro 200 HP 6 speed
    City 20 mpg
    Highway 31 mpg
    Combined 24 mpg

    3.2 FSI quattro 255 HP 6 speed
    City 15 mpg
    Highway 25 mpg
    Combined 19 mpg

    I get 18-19mpg avg on a tank

Yes, I think this is because the air/fuel ratio is leaned out; aka more air, less fuel. Better mileage provided you drive normal.

Re: Is it true the 3.2 gets better gas mileage then the 2.0T?

I have learned that all Americans drive like they have no idea how to drive or where they are going and Europeans drive like they are the only ones on the road. Americans tend to drive wherever they want. When I am home I always see these idiots in the far left lane going 10 under in their giant SUVs. Really smart. You also get a lot of the people in the US that try to be vigilanties and they will sit in the left lane so you can't pass until they feel you have learned your lesson. Do that over here and you are gonna get hit and probably die. Now to Europeans, Italians are the worst when it comes to that, and Germans can't drive in mountains unless they go half the posted speed limit, and they are dumb on the road. I am married to an Austrian so I have to bad mouth Germans, just FYI. Austrians are probably the best drivers over here, and the worst are French and Dutch. The Dutch are horrible drivers. This is all just my opinion, but a lot of people here share it with me.

Sorry op - 2.0 is definitely more fuel efficient.

Re: Is it true the 3.2 gets better gas mileage then the 2.0T?

It is pretty interesting over here. I would have said something about the Brits but I can understand that they are bad drivers since they have to switch sides. One day I saw this older german couple in a camper going the wrong way on the Autobahn. I came around the corner and nearly hit them, because they were in the fast lane. Not sure what happened, but I hope they got out of there quick.

fD3S - I think this post should be derailed. Valid question if the brochure said it, but maybe he should have looked on the website or asked the dealer first. Not trying to offend you Hockenheim, but I think the question was successfully answered.

Most people in LA have their licenses, just in certain areas of the city, most people dont even have papers. Its the insurance where people in LA fail.
Also, I heard the Italians are the most reckless when it comes to speeding, the limit is always 10+km faster?

Re: Is it true the 3.2 gets better gas mileage then the 2.0T?

When I drive from my g/f's place north of ATL to my Apt in Macon, I avg about 33 mpg. However, I drive most of the time at constant speed, about 80 on the Cruise Control and my apt is about 600 feet lower in elevation, so most of the trip is slightly downhill. When I drive up from Macon to my g/f's place I get about 31 mpg driving the same way.

Re: Is it true the 3.2 gets better gas mileage then the 2.0T?

Calabria - I think you are right on with the LA drivers. Italian drivers are the most reckless of all the drivers I have seen, but they either go extremely slow or extremely fast. It is so funny because usually everything happens at the pace of evolution here in Italy, but driving happens at F1 speeds and no rules apply. Oh, and there is a third lane in the middle of the road for passing when there is oncoming traffic (I think you have to be Italian to see it, but I still use it). Oh and you can park anywhere you want as long as you turn your hazards on. If anyone wants more info, just ask.
