Missing Ball Bearing from CV Joint

My CV joint came apart when doing control arms. Nothing the matter with it, but one of the bearings magically disappeared. Does anyone know where you can get just a bearing for these or do you have to get a whole new assembly (seems wasteful).

its probably in the cv boot. it has no where to go. Even if it fell out its probably covered in grease so it won't roll anywhere. You will need a new axle if you can't find it =(

yah its no where in the shop and not in the boot... new cv i guess. Blau is usually more expensive for shipping for me then a whole axle for some reason.

its easy. There is a clip you pop off and use a puller to pull the joint off.

I would just drop the 200 on a reman axle from raxles. Then you've got some real peace of mind. Otherwise, you've got one new joint on an axle with an old one that may or may not leave you stranded.
