I see the majority of what ECS etc offers are Transverse, but what is the main difference between the two APR K04 kits? Transverse and Longitude?

Anyone, the parts seem the same and so does the description, but i'm pretty sure that there has to be some difference than just the names.

A4s have a longitudinal mounted engine, meaning that the engine runs with the length of the car. vw's and the tt engines are mounted with the width of the car.

    as for turbo kits

get the one for your car because the other will not mate up to your exhaust, intake, supply lines and has a different ecu.

    Re: Difference? Transverse/Longitude

hmmm.....then why does ECS have the transverse kits listed under the B6 filtering options if we are only supposed to use the longitude setup?

Just give ECS a call and get that question answered.

Heres some representative pics, both GTRS kits on my FWD Longitudinal A4 and my buddies Transverse GLi

On the longi motors, the turbo centers over cylinders 1 & 2 rather than 3 & 4 on transverse. Also the orientation of the compressor side and exhaust side is opposite (mirror image)

ECS's web site is not always correct, thats why you put in what car you have or call them. in fact there are very few websites that are always correct, and this is not one of them.

That's where my confusion came from, I set ECS filter options for Audi/B6/1.8/quattro and it gave me both Longitude and transverse setup options. Regardless of what they're offering the one i'd be looking at is the Longitude setup then correct? ECS is just smoking crack by throwing the transverse kits in there as well?
