Car is really slow to warm up, already replace thermostat. Log is posted

Now that it's cold out (< 0C) my car is taking a REAL long time to warm up, as an example I took this log on the way to work.

I have checked and replaced the thermostat, and that seems to have made no difference.

I have no more ideas, it doesn't appear the temperature sensor is shot (by the data in the log).

    nice graph.

Does the heat work or is that slow to get warm also? Might want to replace your temp sensor as well, its like $12

My heat isn't quick to warm up, but that is so variable over different models of cars that I'm not sure if it's normal or not.

I could replace the temp sensor (it's actually $30 at the dealer and $20 at ecs), I was hoping to avoid this expense if it's not needed.

Is there any chance I have an impeller failure?

I'm also going to make sure there isn't some type of obstruction keeping the temp sensor from getting flow or holding open the thermostat (doesn't seem likely as the new thermostat seated fine by hand)

    Thanks!

impeller failure is a distinct possibility if you still have the stock waterpump.
They are made out of plastic....

wouldnt water pump failure result in overheating?

Just zip tie some cardboard in front of your grill.

you can try that and see if it works...if it does that usually means you have a bad thermostat

edit: -5*C is well below freezing so it may take some time to warm up especially if youre driving on the highway

Mine takes a while to heat up. Other cars I'm in get up to temp twice as fast. My gauge also doesn't reach the center; just stays between cold and center. Oil temperatures take way longer to get to temperature too.

I let me car idle in the morning till the needles just start to rise before I drive off. It takes a good 3-4 miles to get up to temp
