i have a crappy, noisy, ready to die fuel pump in my 1.8t, but do not want to pay $312.46 at the dealer for a pump. however, i do have an opportunity to attain a 3.0 fuel pump at a huge savings over stealership price. any insight? thanx!

If it ends up being the fuel pump genuineaudiparts.com has them for $190. $224 if you don't have Quattro.

Yeah, it's the same way with the fuel filters too. Doesn't make much sense.

I'm not sure how they're different but they are listed separately with and without quattro with FWD the more expensive of the two.

    prob not the same..

    1.8 quatt PN: 8E0 906 087P
    3.0 quatt PN: 8E0 906 087N

list is the same price for each, but the 3.0 costs a lil less wholesale.
