Hi Guys, first post here on Audizine, but Im just getting back into the game with my car. I sold it two years ago, and just bought it back two weeks ago. These slips are from 2010 when I first had the car, stock tune, test pipe, k&n filter, and that's it for mods. The car had some weight reduction, right around 215lbs worth.



I just got my wideband and boost gauge put back on her, and I'm going to do some minor things to it and take her back to the track, as they are open for Hangoverfest on New Years Day. I think it's a decent time for what it is, but I couldn't get the car to launch at all, as you can see by the 2.19 60'

Cool stuff man! If you are a 6mt, you car going to want to get your RPMs up pretty high to get out of the hole.

Yes I am a 6sp, but launching this car is nothing like my old EVO, this car will not build boost on the line, so getting it out of the hole is tricky. I never tried to just drop it from 5K plus like some guys are doing, maybe that is the key, ha ha

Yea you won't be boosting, but you should get some slight wheel spin. I can cut a consistent 1.8 - 1.9 60ft at around 5500rpm.

Wow, I hope I can get that! I would be borderline 13's on a stock tune.... It will be weird going down the track only hitting mid 90's mph, since I'm used to hitting 108mph in the 1/8th, ha ha.

haha, no, my Evo went 12.30@113 with no second gear, that was back in 09, my RWD Ford Probe street car went 10.24@135mph, with 108mph in the 1/8, and that was floating valves....

Times aren't really sad considering the weight to power ratio. Besides when you talk about these 2.7T swap cars their 1/4 mile times will be a completely different category and not comparable to these times at all.

You know what is sad is I was just reading on my TDI forum, and the top cars quarter miles are way faster then our fastest quarter miles. Yes some are running nos. but even the guys that are just running injectors and a large turbos are faster then us with a DIESEL ENGINE. I should go back to modifying my TDI.

Keep in mind that Diesels can make a LOT of torque. And it is torque that gets you down the 1/4 mile. It's not uncommon to see a big lifted Duramax or Cummins truck at the drags cracking off some ridiculous times.

Yeah, it just boggles my mind the amount of torque they are producing in these little diesels. The top guy is running compound turbos which is pretty bad ass and a crazy amount of work.

I'm pretty sure they aren't getting 40 mpg's anymore, but probably still getting more then an s4 or rs4.

Thats why I said at least trap 105mph. The only way you can mess that up is by not pressing the gas pedal or purposely not shifting into the next gear lol.
