Can I put a 235 width tire on my 8inch wide rim?

I have the OZ Superleggeras. Rec. tire size online is 225, but i think i saw someone with 235's. can i do that or stick with 225? my rim is the 18inch, so 8inch width? will 235 be okay? or is that too thin for it. i would get a 235/40/18

Re: Can I put a 235 width tire on my 8inch wide rim?

yes, 225 is too narrow for a 8" rim..unless you get a tire that runs wide normally.

Re: Can I put a 235 width tire on my 8inch wide rim?

I had 225's on 8.5" wide rims too, looked sweet, and didn't sidewall roll one bit, but I'm still fatter tires next time for a slightly better ride on coil overs and a different look.

To answer your post yes 235 will fit just fine on an 8" rim.
    YEAH BUDDY!
