just received some awesome service from audi uptown, went in for oil consumption test and rough idle on cold starts. They replaced all the injectors and manually scrubbed all my intake valves under warranty

Bought twice from them - no issues. Solid service department. They too were willing to do the oil consumption test on our B8 A4. But have since gone with Pfaff Audi with our newest car 2011 S4.

I'd stay away from uptown, they have so much business that they don't really give a f*** about the average guy getting an entry level Audi. My mom and dad were buying an A4 and they wouldn't bargain, didn't pay them much attention. Agincourt Autohaus is my dealer, and they're the best IMO I swear by them. Their fleet manager was my and my family's broker, the rest of the sales team wasn't excellent but the service department is the best anywhere. Many a time theyve absorbed the cost of labor for things saving me a few nickels, and service is always prompt. My dad ripped off a mirror backing up into a pillar on his q5, they just snapped it back together in 15 minutes and sent him on his way, but I can tell you 100 other stories of how they have done right by me. Pfaff Woodbridge was also excellent in all respects, although I haven't been to them for many things, I would definitely do business with them anytime.

Audi Uptown Markham is the same people that was Downtown Fine Cars years ago. When I went to check out the A5 before I bought mine, the sales person would argue with me that a certain feature wasn't available, when it's listed as an available option on the web site. I've also had numerous issues with their services. I would not go there for sales or service.

fwiw I bought my a4 there, sales rep was nice to me and didn't treat me like a punk (unlike bmw& queensway audi), never serviced there though

Bought my '09 A4 there and the sales staff were OK. Had a couple of service issues that were mishandled but no big deal. I would buy another Audi from them if they were willing to negotiate with me. I've had great experience at Miss. Audi for service and will ikely hit them up when I'm looking to upgrade, but if Uptown was willing to give me a better deal, I'd go back to them.

I was picking between the new BMW 3 series and the refreshed A4. Went to BMW first to test drive. The dealership personnel were pre-judging me when I was looking around, nobody came to greet me for over 15 minutes since I entered. They probably thought I couldn't afford it by my appearance. Test drove the bimmer and thought it was pretty good except for the steering and braking, both felt vague, and was not completely sold on the new look and no X Drive when I was buying.

Went to Audi next and got better service there, liked the new A4 enough to buy it in full, got the discount I was aiming for before I went. No regrets so far about choosing the A4 over the 328i.

I had a similar BMW experience whenI was looking to replace my B5. Went to the BMW dealer on Dixie Road, driving my A4 and wearing a suit and tie. I was completely ignored. Similar experience at the BMW dealership in Woodbridge, same car and dressed the same. A number of the salespeople stood up from their desks, looked at me and sat back down. I then went back to Audi of Mississauga and ordered my B7.

Based on those experiences I no longer know who BMW is and what the company does.

Experience with Uptown Audi haven't been the best.

Sales - I have had a sales rep throw a pen in frustration. Was shopping for a car, when he asked my girlfriend what she does for a living, our reply was "she doesn't work". He got frustrated and threw his pen down (while jotting down quotes) then yelled, how can you lease a car if you don't work. We got up and left.

Service - The SAs are really nice, especially Andrew, great straight up guy. The techs on the other hand are terrible at their jobs. On my previous A4, I have had to perform a lot of warranty work, each time service was performed, I would always have to go back for a second time. Gears were grinding with the clutch fully depressed, left the car there for 3 days, was told there was no issues and they performed various tests. As I picked up my car, driving out their lot, the gears grinded so hard Andrew immediately called their foreman to hear it. Turns out 3 syncros were bad and required replacement. Had a lot of engine warranty work performed as well, I found at least 10+ missing fasteners, ones holding the window wiper fluid reservoir and various things. My TTS has been back 5 times for a window issue. At first it was just a motor replacement, that turned into the lock latch not attached, door card not installed correctly, window leaking, etc ...

The dealer is 2 mins away compared to Pfaff which is at least a 40min drive. That's the only reason I went back with the TT.

Take it down to Midtown/AutoHaus. It's not that far but far greater services.

Wow. I think this thread has shown one thing if anything, a dealership experience is a hit and miss thing lol Good thing I stay as far away from them as possible.
In the end though, if you want the best experience, it seems you need to befriend and create a good rapport with the head service manager of whichever dealership you go to.

I just Purchased My New Ibis White A3 TDI from Audi Uptown. Really happy with the deal i got as they beat another local dealer. Fast Friendly and painless one of my best dealership visits while shopping for a car!

Showed up in 2007 with a bunch of buddies, all Audi owners, 2 of us were ready to buy right then and there, and nobody gave us the time of day. They weren't even particularly busy. After 15-20 minutes of twiddling our fingers in the showroom, some old guy eventually talked to us, and was ridiculously dismissive. Wouldn't even give me a brochure. Some older dudes looking like they were straight of China walked in and immediately got their time and attention. Idiotic.

So my last 2 cars have been bought from Alex (afretes) from Audi of Mississauga, 40+ minute drive and all, and I haven't looked back. I lived 2 minutes away from Audi Uptown back then.

Not surprised by the treatment you received. They see older Chinese guys and they think money. I got glossed over plenty of times at dealerships because I look young, even though I was looking to buy.

I think customer service is really just based on the person you're dealing with.

A friend of mine had this lady at Audi Autohaus who was extremely rude and completely dismissed us because of our age. But when it comes to servicing your car, their techs are great and give great advice. I wouldn't give them a bad review as a whole, but that lady was a complete bitch. To us anyways... Mind you we didn't dress the part when he was looking to buy a car, but why do we need to?

As a business you should never dismiss any kind of customer, unless they too were rude to you. So IMO, it all depends on who you talk to and sometimes the mood they're in at the moment. However, as professionals they should also know how to make an impression to their customers. So the whole "I'm in a bad mood" should not be an excuse.

uptown took my door apart to diagnose a window regulator issue, put it all back together, called me and told me it would be another 2.5 hours of labour to do the job. They could have undone 4 more bolts and had it changed while it was already opened up. Asked for a quote to do a paint touch up too. Never ended up getting it because 'oh...the paint guy will be in tomorrow and he'll let me know'.

Got the car detailed for free and drove a rental while they sat on their thumbs. Pretty much a total waste of time.
