Aero Wipers vs Bosch Icons

Ok, so I want new wipers, I had the Bosch Icon's on my last car (Acura TL), and now am thinking about getting a set of them for the S.

The question is, has anybody had any experiance with the Aero wipers for our cars, and what is the difference between them and the Icons? Is it worth the extra $$$ or no?

have the aeros on the b6. incredible upgrade from stock wipers.

there's a reason audi made them stock on all 04 and up a4s.

Damn..thats pretty expensive. I never actually thought about it. Always was impressed by some fresh wipers and some Rain-X though

The aero blades and the Icon's look to be the same style though, thats why I'm curious really.

The difference is the straight, flat arm of the Euro Wiper. I've been in a B5 S4 with both, and the Euro was better -- worth it enough for the $150 in my opinion.

Ive had my Aero wipers now for over a year and they still perform as good as they did when i first installed them

vw dealership. thats where i got mines. I ordered the ones for a 2004 passat.

I bought into the hype and got a passat setup for my a4, I wasn't impressed.
They would lift off the windsheild over 80mph, not that you should go 80 in the rain... Just using the washers left a streaky mess. After maybe six months they started chattering, pretty bad. But a fresh set of blade refills solved that problem. For another three months or so.......
I'm thinking of selling mine.. The original wipers worked better, longer in my opinion

I installed mines about 8 months ago. and I havent have the streaking or lifting problem at 80+ mph in the rain and I havent Had the chattering problem either.

Can I just buy the aero blades or do I need the arms as well?

You are fine with just the Aero blades. They don't sell arms for the Aero blades. The Euro blades, however, are a whole new arm.

on my old B5 i bought a pair of Valeo Ultimates for like $20(2 for 1 deal) on tirerack. AMAZING pair of blades. ran them for 2 harsh utah winters. never had any streaks or high speed problems..

I just put the Icons on and love them. Can't comment on the Aeros never owned them.

No, the blades are replacements for the Euro kit once you have the arms. You have to have the arms to use those blades.

The Aero's however (which are Euro Knock-Offs), you can put on the stock arm.

bringing this back haha, i just got rid of my OEM blades because the helicopter across the windshield noise was bugging me out but i bought the Bosch ICONs. WHOA what an improvement, never thought i would be excited over a wiper blade !! excellent wiping and the weather today and the past few has been grounds for comparison well i just came home and lets say now i can see

Haha, no, there was a more recent thread in the past couple of weeks on the wiper blade topic. It was about which new blades should the OP get. Same subject Different thread. A lot more recent.

the high school kid staff at kragen looked like they had never even heard of an audi!




i know i can convert to euro, but in my mind $120 = sway bar, NOT wiper blades.

the bosch wipers are pretty damn good, i got them for my bros s4 and they work uber good, bout 45 for the set since they use stock arms

cant beat the the icons for the price. 35bucks. can get them anywhere. do a great job. I deal with snow and ice on a daily basis and have had no trouble. anything with a joint in it is bad new 4 ice country u just gotta get out and break the ice off. bosch icons never had to get out cause they always flex well even below freezing.
