Ticket for tint 26708.5 CVC, is there any record of this for multiple offence ?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I got a ticket today for my tint and I just got my tint put on like a week ago, bigtime bummer, the tint place has a lifetime warranty and they messed up the back window there are 2 big bubbles so I am gonna ask if they can take it off the front and put it back on, I am also wondering if any1 in california that has gotten a tint ticket know if you have a multiple offence of this if there is any fine invloved or if it is just a fix it ticket over and over.

Now my second question is, is it possible for me to get a P.O. Box in arizona and register my car there so I wont have to deal with this anymore, does any1 have any experience with this ? I figure living in Cali it would be cheaper to have it in Arizona anyways, but I wanted to ask if any1 has there car registered out of state and what it all entails.

    Thanks

I average about 1 tinted window ticket a year up here in Norcal, and I just pay it everytime, usually ranges between 80-100 bucks....Pay to play I guess. I think it's more complicated than you think to register your car in AZ, you probably would need to get an AZ license as well.

Shouldn't affect your driving record, it's not a moving violation.

So, you can just eat the $80 to pay it instead of taking it off, paying the $10 fee, and then putting it back on?

read the back of your ticket, it should give u a toll number to call for the courts and should say somthin like, if u do not contest the ticket " plead guilty" call the number and u can pay ur ticket over the phone. ussually u can just get away with paying the ticket and u dont even have to go to court and proove u fixed the violation.

ps: only moving violations are points on ur record.

Just so you know if you try to register your car to a PO box you might be brought up on insurance fraud charges which is much worse than a tint ticket.

Why can't the police just mandate that when your pulled over you roll down all windows immediately. That's what I do. That deflates their whole personal safety argument about not being able to see in the vehicle! Don't get me wrong, I still get tint tickets sometimes. It's just an avenue to generate more money for the police department. How do Florida officers deal with no tint laws? I have seen limo tint across the whole car. That's got to make the officer's queezey when pulling a car over in a ruff neighborhood.

It's more than that, window tinting affects the driver's ability to see at night. I'm sort of in the middle about this, I don't agree with NY's 70% tint limit however people rolling around at night with 5% all around and a winshield tint is a little ridiculus.

Another thing those nosy characters want is the ability to see in your car at all times so it's easier to bust someone for smoking a joint for example. In my mind that's total bullshit and an invastion of privacy.

I live in Miami Beach and we do have tint laws here. I am not sure about the specifics %'s, but when I got my windows tinted on all three cars with same guy he always ask me legal or darker?

The police here could careless about ANY traffic violations as it is, it's pretty bad. We don't even have an annual safety inspection or emissions testing (only when car is bought). It's hard to get a ticket in Miami Beach, you have to be pretty stupid if you do get one.

my drivers license insurance and registration all go to my p.o. box in california as it is so i dont see how that would have anything to do with insurance fraud im still looking into it. i may have to take a trip to nevada or arizona heh so if i want to just pay it its only gonna be like 80 to 100 thats not bad.
