where is allroad, s4 a4 avant made in

just come across to this question since it would be very important when i import those model from the states to canada, if they are made in North america free trade area, i would not to pay that awful 7% duty,

It depends on the years of the those particular models. Most Audi's are made in Germany but with the acquisition of some other European car companies in recent years they have moved some production to those factories. Mainly that would be the Skoda factory. Not sure if that helps.

A4 & S4 chassis are made in Ingolstadt, Germany. A6 & Allroad chassis are made in Neckarsulm, Germany.

you can tell by the first number in the Vin of the vehicle, W= Germany, 1= USA, 2= Canada, 3= Mexico, J= Japan... ect

also make sure you check the RIV (riv.ca) list, most avants are not importable specificaly the A4/S4 B5 avant, or RS6 avant. the newer ones might be.

Does anyone notice the trend of European SUVs being manufactured in the USA. The BMW plant in Spatanburg makes the Z4 (all variations) and the X5. Capitalizing on the bigger market...

The number one exported car from the US is the BMW X5. Civics are made in the USA and shipped back to Japan for sale depending on the Yen/USD relationship.

The majority of car sales are currently made in China (last time I checked +anyone know if this is still true?+). Though, either way it doesn't help 'our' economy because the money still goes to Germany/Europe.

Audi does NOT build any cars in North America (US, Canada or Mexico). The Q7 is built in Germany. Some models are built in Czech Republic, Hungary and soon Belgium.

Why make the S3 in Mexico if it isn't being sold in North America?
