Just wondering if anyone knows places in Jacksonville, FL that specialize in Audi tuning?....Don't want to do everything myself or end up having to pay the dealer for things....

    Re: Jacksonville Euro Tuning

Yeah I have a Imola B6 S4. Yeah I go to some of the Jaxdubs meetings on Thursday when I'm in town.

If you need/want some work done try and do it yourself. There are plenty of people willing to help with installs. I wouldn't let TD work on any of my cars. I've had several friends take their cars there and after seeing what they do to cars, I'd never let them work on mine.

I have seen zip ties holding on fog lights when they broke them. Several other things I can't think of now that blow my mind.

well the guy Todd who was talking bad about Technical Dimensions has yet to give details on why he feels the way he does.

I took my Corrado to Euro-Spec once about 4 years ago I was having them inspect my G-lader (supercharger) when i got there to pick up my car they told me the supercharger needed to be rebuilt (that did not shock me)

but then they said they bypassed the supercharger so i was like ok well after i paid my hundreds of dollars i got in my car to find the supercharger sitting in a box in my passanger seat all taken apart into many peices. I was not happy to say the least ... i thought they left the charger on the car and bypassed it or atleast left the supercharger in one piece.

BUT because they were real cool and nice guys i would give them another chance

    Re: Jacksonville Euro Tuning

I have some stories about Technical Dimensions but I don't really remember what exactly was done. There were so many little things that would "blow" your mind. I may be picky but if I'm paying someone top dollar to work on my car then I expect things to be done perfect. That mean every single bolt back in place and torqued to proper specs.

So what I will do is see if I can get the owners of at least 3 Audi S4's to come here and say exactly what went on.

My experience there has never been first hand but after I've been told these stories from 3 friends of mine. I would "NEVER" ever take my car there.

BTW if you need some help with that sway bar I'm sure that we could get together and install it. They aren't that difficult to do.

    Re: Jacksonville Euro Tuning

oh so this is just hear say you have not had any problems with him yourself?

Well I am going to say this my car is at his shop right now it has been at his shop for almost a week he found out the problem that needed to be fixed right away and i am fighting w/ the dealer i bought the car from (Arlington toyota DONT BUY FROM THEM) to fix the issues like a oil leak right onto the turbo ..

Seth bought a new MAF to put on my car just to make sure it was the prob. and then he kept looking to make sure he found all the lil problems with the car.

The car dealer just told me they would rather buy the car back from me than to have the car repaired so Seth put the bad/stock MAF back into the car so that the car can be taken to Arlington toyota so they can buy it back from me.

    Re: Jacksonville Euro Tuning

They did a complete inspection of the car they ran a full diagnosis on it and did a full visual inspection he found some major oil leaks that were leaking onto the turbo’s he also bought a new mass air flow sensor to put into my car just to see what else was wrong with it even though he knew I was going through warranty and he might not end up being the one to actually fix my car. So when he found out that the dealer would not let him fix it he put my old maf back in and gave me a print out of every thing that was wrong with the car.

So you actually didn't have any real work performed there if all they did was a inspection.

Wait until you hear some repair stories from work they've done.

    Re: Jacksonville Euro Tuning

What Todd said is correct!!! I will never bring my car back to TD.

After spending over 15k in the last 2 years in repairs (have receipts) I am done. The last job did it for me. They did the same job 4 times and still did not get it right. I got the car back even in a worse condition than I gave it to them and I had to take matters in my own hands and fix it myself. Only reason I was bringing my car to him was because he was the only one that actually worked on S4’s before and knew what he was doing.

I am not saying in any way that Seth is a bad guy; All I am saying is that he needs to focus more on customer service skills and try to do the job right the first time. His problem is that he is taking more than he can handle and his crew people are taking on jobs that he should be doing. When those jobs end up in failure…guess what Seth comes in and does it himself but he hurries and messes it up again …. And so on.

I am confident that between the 3 S4 guys including myself that I know, we can take any job on. I will be doing and have been doing all major repairs from now on.

Well i do think that he is taking in too much work for his crew.

i don’t know man.. if i end up keeping my S4 i am going to try him out on a actual repair or service before i make any drastic decisions about him working on my car.

I'd give Wagen Werks a call. They are on the west side near Cecil Field, but do great work for a fair price. Jason, the owner, has been working on VW/Audis in Jax for as long as I can remember (bought my first VW ~ 16 years ago and he was working on them then). 317-6799.

Yeah Jason is a great mechanic.
Brien my problem is that Arlington toyota dont want to send my car for "a second opinion." to any of the people or shops that I recommend.

Gabriel @ Autobahn is Very rude, I called up there today to check on my car and the guy was like “im not going to work on this car you can tell Toyota to come pick it up or you can come get it yourself” and hung up in my face. Plus he was saying he could not find anything wrong with the car that Seth said was wrong with it OTHER than the tie rod was bad as Seth indicated.

let us know how it goes!

I'm not saying your going to get terrible service but from people I know that's had work done there its not looking hopeful. Depending on what you have done you may get lucky.

    Re: Jacksonville Euro Tuning

Okay now my only issue with Technical Dimensions is time.
I dropped off my car last Monday September 10th 2007 Seth told me it would be Thursday Sept. 13th before he could start the car.

I called Friday to ask a question and was told they still have not started my car it would be Monday the 17th well then we had nothing but Rain for 2 days and a friend of mine drove past the shop on Monday and told me the front of his shop was almost flooded that the water level was up to the bottom of the cars in his front parking lot (I was told no cars were flooded or had any water damage and my car was actually in the shop on a lift).

I called him yesterday Thursday the 20th one week from when he told me he would be able to start my car and still has not started it and it will probably not get started until next week Monday 24th.

    Re: Jacksonville Euro Tuning

Sweet to hear there are a few S4 guys in Jacksonville and stage 3 at that. I have recently been thinking about selling my B6 A4 and getting a B5 S4 (O yeah I should be moving there in around 4-5 months). Really torn between buying a non modded or lightly modded one for like $13,000-$15,000 range and then getting a Stage 3 kit or just buying one already done because im not really looking forward into taking the damn engine out. I am very mechanically inclined and have done all work on my car from oil changes to turbo install to timing belt and clutch install so I know I could do it, just dont really want to get that deep into it if I didn't have to, but hell if there are people around ready to help and who may have previous experience already that would be sweet.
