Anyone use these in lieu of hose couplings for there custom ic setups. These pieces are really nice and look cleaner than couplings. Heres an example

Hmm...never seen those before. Not only look good....but hold uber boost with little to no chance of leaks.

I saw one guy used them on his FMIC. I think they were red, he said they worked great though.

    Re: Adel wiggins clamps

Paul from San Diego had them on his DUH fmic.

Not really needed unless your really running very high amounts of boost, normal t-bolt clamps work just fine when used with IC pipes that have a good bead on them.

Close, but the ones used on DUH intercoolers are hydroform clamps. Same idea....but a little different.

They look exactly the same other then the color.

    BTW it is Hydraflow.

    Here is a Hydraflow clamp

    Wiggens clamp from Burns

Picture post from paul and looking at the picture the clamps he has say hydraflow but look exactly like the burns clamp and different then the hydraflow clamp above.

Doing more searching just shows that "hydraflow" is just a company/brand name while "wiggens" is a style of clamp. So basicly hydraflow just sells a wiggens clamp so they are the same.

Yes, they obviously are a different color. In addition, they employ the use of an additional plastic strap as a safety. The strap is pulled tight and then locks onto a metal ball. I have the two I took off my DUH FMIC.....I'll snap a few quick shots in a bit. Like I said, nothing drastically different....but still not the same.

Oh, one more difference. The Hydroform use stainless ferrules. Once issue we had switching to Wiggins is that Wiggins clamps use only aluminum ferrules.....because no one in racing wants the added weight (however small) of stainless over aluminum.

Well most racers are going to use aluminum IC pipes so using aluminum ferrules will be much easier to weld to the IC pipe then welding SS to aluminum.
