If official. I will be testing out the new brisk spark plugs. I hope they Work well. It has come to my attention that we as audi owners usually stick to one type of thing hen NGK and the Bosch. We will see how everything goes very very soon.
they claim to actuyally add more horsepower then usual.

Which plugs are you going to use?

I've used E3 plugs and they were excellent.

After speaking with them, he seemed extremely knowledgeable. He informed me that i sould try the silver which would be close to the same heat range and the supers. I ordered some and they will be here in 3 days.

    Re: Brisk Spark plugs

That one still has the shrouded electrode. Seems like the exposed electrode and unshielded flame front is their biggest selling point. That is why I got the E3 plugs. The flame front from those looks like a mushroom cloud. The car has never run better than it did with those plugs. I gotta get me some more of those.

The plugs recommended for TT S4, and A4 turbos. These are directly cross referenced with the NGK BKR6E that a lot of us run. I'd go with the LGS to get the multiple electrodes and open flame kernel.

As long as the electrode holds up that is good news. If one breaks then you'll have to tear down the engine. Another reason why I like the multiple fat electrodes on the Brisk plugs. Cheap little parts can kill expensive engines.

As an example, last week the Cobra's $16k RDI 427 died when a valve spring broke on the freeway. The valve dropped in to the combustion chamber and killed a piston, broke the sparkplug and sent pieces back up through the intake manifold and into other cylinders. Only two years old, it now needs new pistons, new heads, and a full rebuild. All because a beehive spring failed.

Well does anyone plan on doing testing with standard bosch/ngk's vs these plugs and I mean real testing not just "oh my butt dyno says so".

Why not run these instead of the silvers?

    Re: Brisk Spark plugs

Logs won't show much. Caps time might. Any power increase is probably going to be fairly small. Even so, g/s will be unchanged. The power increase would come as a result of a more complete burn of the same fuel/air charge.

This is the question that is most important to me because I am tired of changing plugs every 3500-5k ........

If they happen to give a little more HP, then that would be a bonus .........

    Re: Brisk Spark plugs

My motor should be back up and running within 2 weeks now that the clutch problem is fixed and ECM is on its way. I've been talking to EuroSportAccessories about the Extra Turbo plugs. They are $20 a plug. DOR10TS is the part number for extra turbo plugs that are 2 heat ranges colder than stock and DOR12TS is the part number for 1 heat range colder...
I plan on breaking in the motor on NGK's and then switching over to the Brisk plugs. I'll try and do some dyno testing and such to compare BKR7E's to the DOR12TS plugs.

That really depends on how long they last. If they last twice as long as normal copper plugs then you really are talking $8 vs $20.

Hey fred, so you decided to keep the A4?

    (added)

Well I found a web site that tested the plugs in a mustang.

We tested the original 14,000-mile spark plugs, then threw in a set of direct replacement Motorcraft plugs, and finally followed up with a set of Brisk LGS14s.

    On the dyno

The base pull on our `03 Cobra (with pulley, tune, and exhaust) was 442.98 hp and 466.75 lb-ft of torque. The new Motorcraft plugs gave us an increase of 1.92 hp and 4.28 lb-ft of torque, while the Brisk Premium plugs gave us an additional increase of 5.18 hp and another 0.5 lb-ft. That`s a total of 7.10 hp and 4.78 lb-ft for a new best of 450.08 hp and 471.53 lb-ft of torque. Not bad for a simple plug change.

Yeah, so I will be installing my SPP fan and my new coolant tank this weekend. I didn't want you to call me a quitter ...........

But I still want to find out how long these plugs last. The last time I was at 034, I bought 2 boxes of the Bosche 3 prong plugs that are a heat range colder and I am about to go through my second set ( 3500 miles is what I have been getting out tof them) so even if they cost more it would be worth it if they lasted 3-4 times longer.

    Re: Brisk Spark plugs

They should last quite long. I didn't find any info on Brisk's site but the E3 plugs had a 100k mile warranty on a stock engine. No warranty on a modified engine.

There are several tests on Brisk's site showing varying gains.

Did you tell him that you are running a bigger turbo then stock and pushing high boost levels? Problem is that most of the sites just list "stock" cars not highly modified A4's. A plug with multi grounds just work better for running high boost levels.

Even on their site it lists the DOR15LGS plug for a Audi A4 1.8t

But that is most likely the stock heat range.

Even on their site it lists the DOR15LGS plug for a Audi A4 1.8t

But that is most likely the stock heat range.
yeah thats what he said they heat range is for stock. they just got here and from the looks of it they look like average plugs but I was assure with the mods done to my car these would be the plugs from me. here are some pics

The owner of the car still have the same plugs in this every day driver, and stated that these plugs work better than several other brands that he had tried. So far they lasted twice long than other plugs and the plugs are still in it and run like new. No problems running non-resistor plug on this set up.

and here is a pic of one of there cars
