B6 Wiper Blade Clip

I need a wiper blade clip that holds the blade to the arm. I have a 2003 A4 B6 with the NON-aero blades (i.e. not that fancy ones that everyone is getting)

Anyways the plastic broke and the blade is kinda just in place by pressure. Where can i get one from with out going to the dealer?

ECS only sell the whole arm and even then they sell 2 different types and i don't know which one i need.!

Any help is greatly appriciated!

damn...that sucks, I replaced my wipers for aero blades 3 months ago. If I still had them I'd ship the clips to you. Good luck finding the clip..if you need to replace the whole wiper, check out ECStuning.com!

Oh and since I dont feel like buying the AERO blades just yet, all I used was a black ziptie and wrapped it around the clip......looks ghetto, but only I know about it....shhhhhhhhhhhh ;)

I had the same problem during a winter storm! I used electrical tape though (even more getto) but sucked up and replaced them with aero blades. They really are pretty good (not $100 better )

I have my old wiper arms from 2003 if you are interested in buying them cheap.

You don't need to replace the whole arm, goto an audi dealer ship, i think the little tab costs like 98 cents or something like that.

^^I will try again (ask dealership if they sell just clip) but when I went last, they told me that the whole arm must be replaced ~$40

The Dealership here kinda sucks so you may have to double check but it will definetly be interesting to see what they say!

I have a 2002 with the non-aero and i went to autozone and bought some rain-x latitude blades. i went home to go install them and i find that the my wiper arms dont have the right connector. i'm very confused now. do i need to go to the dealership to get blades or just the clips? i want the aero style blades. someone please help me.

yeah, when i got my new transmission, this was also a problem of mine...my clip was broken..after spending over 2 grand on a new transmission, they added like 87 cents to my bill..thanks alot, assholes =D

my clip broke too...i just tie wrapped the blade to the arm. ghetto i know, but it works.

MY 2002 had a very weird wiper design. I bought some wipers, came to car and WTF. Broke a clip, went to dealer offered entire arm replacement. I just bought Aero, don't feel like being dependent on the dealer for wiper blades.
So if you have 2002 A4 then you have unique wiper system.

^yes, only way to buy replacements is at the dealer. Auto Parts Stores dont carry our replacements. I have used just the rubber refills and it works fine but eventually i'm going the Aero route.

My Dealer gave me and fitted a free plastic undercariage for free after i paid for an 80k service, a new drivers side window motor and CV boot.

They didn't even bother telling me!? My old one was all broken up and held together with zip ties so i think the mechanics were fed up of dealing with it at every service.

But as for the wipe blades they suck ssoooo bad! I went the zip tie method until i got the .87c clip. But After a brand new windscreen and brandnew wiperblades i still getting scoring on the window on the drivers side and they don't shift the rain worth crap!

After ranting i'm actually going to go rainx my windscreen now!

I would go the aero route but i'm poor and i might be getting rid of it in the next 6months!

While this is clearly too late to help the OP, this may be helpful to others; I also needed these clip "housings," and found them available on ebay from this seller. Cost was significant for what amounts to about $1.08 worth of plastic, but still much better than buying the entire wiper arms.

pretty sure I break them everytime I replace blades or almost every time i replace blades they are cheap so I keep 10 or so on hand just incase and my local dealer can get them.

My son snapped the plastic clip attached to the blade that the other plastic clip attaches to. This is a silly system. I read on a forum about Rain X Latitudes being able to be used with a plastic zap strap so I tried it. I was able to get it to fit but the curved blade left a big streak down the middle. Very frustrating. I then realized that ANY wipers with the three holes would fit the same way. They fit right inside the end of the wiper arm. I headed to Napa and bought their cheap 8.99 straight blade wipers, zap strapped them in and boom... no more streaks, no stupid plastic clips. I bought 21" for drivers side and 20" for passenger side.

My attempt at instructions:
1. take the plastic clip completely off of the wiper arm. You should be left with the metal arm with a hole at the end.
2. Buy flat wiper with the three holes in the middle.
3. line up the holes and put the zap strap through and tighten.
4. cut zap strap.
Time required 5 minutes. Difficulty 1/10.

Honestly a child can do this and I am so happy with the result. You can buy a black bolt instead of the zap strap but zap strap works great from what I've read.

FYI you are almost better off buying the Aero wiper conversion because if you break the drivers side clip that houses the locking tab its about $25 where as the passenger side is only $10. Reason for this price difference is the driver side has the wind deflector molded to it.
