    Windshield "Eyebrow" Tint (Pics)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
When I bought my car back in December, it was already tinted and had an "eyebrow" of tint across the top of the windshield. My first reaction was to remove it, because seeing it on other cars I always thought it was dumb. But now that I've had it for a while, it's sorta growing on me.

Now I can't decide - should I peel it off or leave it? Below are a couple of pics to show what I'm talking about:

    Re: Windshield "Eyebrow" Tint (Pics)

I had one on for about 2 weeks, then took a narly rock to the windsheild and had to have a new one installed, unfortunately i never went back to have a new one put on. I'd either leave it, personally I'm just going to have them tint the whole front windshield with a light tint, my boss had something around 15% on the front its too dark i'll go a bit lighter.

I have something like that but with a solid vinyl, helps block the sun.

Looks good from the outside, not so much the inside.

I keep thinking that if the car wasn't tinted already and I was having it done, I would still never opt to have that eyebrow (even now). But it is already there . . . .

But that is a straight line which just follows the curve of the glass.

To other people or the driver? The top 6" of the windshield is useless unless you are very tall or need to watch the sky thinking you are being watched by the Big Brother

You can order a windshield that has a tinted strip on the top that would be less noticed since it follows the roof line not the curve of the window.

you can kinda see mine in this pic. i voted take it off because i think it's too light. i would go with a solid black one or 5%. mine has proved functional enough times to be glad i had it.

    Re: Windshield "Eyebrow" Tint (Pics)

The eyebrow tint has officially been removed. I have to say, as conflicted as I was before, I'm much happier with how it looks now that it's off. It just looks 100x cleaner.

Functionality-wise, I can't say I really miss it. It actually feels like my field of view outside the car has improved a great deal now that it's off.
