    ASA wheels

Hello, I am looking to buy some new wheels to replace my ugly 16" factory wheels. I know that everyone on this forum is a fan of 18"+, but i think i am going to go with a 17x8. I was looking at the ASA AR1. Do any of you have any experience with ASA wheels, are they any good? The reason I like them is because they are not very expensive, and they look nice. I do have a budget, I am a poor student. Thanks
    RIP B6 A4

17" will start to look smaller after a little bit, never had any experience with ASA but they are made by BBS, so they have some credibility behind them

    Re: ASA wheels

Artisan Spirited Alloy (ASA) wheels are great.

They teamed up with BBS to get started (and work closely with them) and use many of BBS's standards, procedures, and practices.

    Re: ASA wheels

BBS are only good when talking about their single and multi piece forged wheels...I Personally wouldn't bother with cast wheels myself like ASA are. i had the AR1's in 18" and bent a rim going over a pothole. Invest in some strong wheels and enjoy many years of use. Like everyone always says, you get what you pay for. but looks wise, I liked the wheel. Nice dish and design especially on an audi.

    Re: ASA wheels

I've got 19" ASA JH8's and so far no problems. The roads in Minneapolis can get pretty bad and I've hit my share of potholes.

I think that 17" will be too small.

    Re: ASA wheels

3 summers on AR1s, no bends here and Chicago city streets are horrible.
Definitely get the 18"s. 17" will look really small cause of the lip/dish.
ASAs are "licensed" from, not "made" by BBS.
