    245/35 on 19x8

I did some searching and found some results, but I just wanted to be sure.

I got some 19x8 Flik Justices and I wanted to run a 245 for a wider look. I hate tire stretch. Will these fit without any rubbing issues? Or, will 235's fit without that stretched look?

If anyone has any close up or detailed pics of either, I'd love to see them :)

235's will not have a stretched look on an 8 inch wide wheel. You can also run 245's if you would like to. However, whether or not they will rub depends on the offset of the wheels. If the wheels have an offset higher than et35, chances are they won't rub. If your car is lowered, how much it is lowered plays a part too.

By higher, do you mean +40, +45, etc?

    Or + 30, +25?

    Higher? I said wider :)

EDIT: I just realized you were speaking to Capt. Obvious, not me. Nevermind :)

So 245's must be cutting it pretty close then I assume. My wheels are +35mm and I dont plan on slamming the car, just a moderate drop so it doesnt look like a monster truck.

I meant higher as in 40, 45, etc.

I wouldn't say that 245's are cutting it pretty close. There's plenty of people on here who run 245's. However, most of them have 18's. If it were me, I would go with the 235's.

I realize you stated that your reasoning for wanting to run the wider tire is for appearances sake, but here is a link to a very interesting discussion that took place on a local autocross forum regarding the performance implications of running a wider tire on the same width rim: http://soloatlanta.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2545

I found the discussion and conclusion interesting.

Falkens run wider too though. I am running the 615's also and they are just a wider tire than comparable brands.

I bet you wouldn't have looked in my thread that was right above yours cos it was only something totally different but here they are -

not much of a depth perception shot but it's a 245/35/19 on a 19x8 ultraleggera. offset is +35.

Drop coming but from what I've been told by my guys, NO RUB!

EDIT: offset is +45. not +35.

IMO on an 8" wheel they'll look like balloons but will probably fit.

I ended up ordering 235/35 BFG KDW2's. I'll post up pics when they are on :)

    Thanks for the pic SQX18T!
