Is the GT28RS or GT2871R a factory turbo for ANY car?

Not for Audi, but if I were to go to a junk yard and look for a GT2871R, what car would I be looking at tearing one out of?! Or were these turbos just aftermarket upgrades?

if youre looking for a big turbo off a stock car/truck, look for a wrecked cummings dodge or possibly visit a semi truck junk yard.... holset (dont know if i spelt that correctly) ask bitter, he'd know

i don't play w/ holsets, the SUNy on this board love that stuff

You're not going to find many turbos in that flow range in passenger cars. Saab and Ford oem turbos are only up around 250bhp tops. The oem japanese stuff is maybe 300 on average. Something supportive of 400bhp is going to be a big diesel charger which will have relatively poor response and possibly durability issues on a high performance gasoline application.

Man just buy a t3/t4 and call it a day.... You can get those turbos for cheap and still make good power.

(Of course) the turbo is a very very small piece of the puzzle.

    Did I say very?
