Those pics are hard to come by. This at least shows carbon and black together and bumps the thread to the top. We could have just let it sink to the bottom.

How about a CF overlay that you can buy for the roof? Right now Fred is working with FI to produce one for B5's with a sun roof.

Im replacing my hood within the next month and prolly going CF...im liking this paint down the middle on CF, Do you need special paint to do this? will a shop do it?

holy cow, forget that....for that kind of money i might consider doing it myself. How difficult was it? and what did it cost you?

If you do not have any kind of experience in doing this I would just pay because you risk messing up a $600 hood if you are not 100% sure of what you are doing, and once you paint carbon fiber there is no going back. Just some words of precaution.

my body shop estimated $205 for painting a complete hood. plus another $420 for the hood itself...
