2002 lincoln LS V6? VS A4 chipped

my friend in his 2002 lincoln LS the 3.5 V6 claims he can still beat me now ...im a 2001 manual fronttrack with REVO,Evo DV, and intake which does nuthing but w.e ..who would take the win?

tough to say, the lincoln has 220hp, your torque should be able to shut him up though, free up your exhaust and itll be cake.

Im not sure about the v6, but my pops has the V8 version with some little things done to it, and will walk prolly every ko3 A4. Add a ko4 and the torque will win.

the v8 has 252 hp though, also the v6 is a 3.0 not 3.5

well you can talk about who will win all you want, but there is an easier way to find out. my guess is since its an auto it wastes some ponies and you will be able to kill him off the line even if you arent quattro so as long as you are a semi-decent driver you should take him.

Does the LS have the manual tranny? I know it was offered on the V6 and then it was a fast car. 220hp @6400rpm and 215 ft-pounds @ 4800rpm 3600 pounds I think it would be a close race.

The first is a 3.0-liter V6 that produces 210 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 205 pound-feet of torque at 4,750 rpm. It is offered with either a five-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission. But with a 3,600-pound curb weight, the LS V6 is somewhat underpowered (given the car's sporting intentions). Fortunately, Lincoln also offers an LS V8. That car's DOHC 32-valve 3.9-liter eight-cylinder generates 252 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 261 lb-ft of torque at 4,300 rpm. Power delivery is smooth and linear. Zero-to-60 acceleration with the V8 is a quick 7.2 seconds.

naw hes auto ...so yeah still hasnt happened it was just something he was bragging about to ppl and to me and i came to you guys for some info thanks alot guys ill let u know what happens when it does...im not big on street racing..so im not after him but the info was just in case he got next to me one day being a dick =)

what kind of chip, giac or apr you will walk him. at 100 he might start catching up but he will be way behind to reach you
i race a stock 323i 170bhp from roll of 35mph and 2nd, 3rd was in front mid 4th he couth up and end of 4th he passed me by 1/2car.. when iwas just chipped giac dead oem clutch and 90k miles with stock old injectors but now he can run and hide i got atp test pipe 2.50' catless exhaust.. now he runs for cover..
i gave this comparison cuz bmw has a better gearing then 1.8t and lincoln.. and is rwd and i did pretty good . if i raced him from stop i would have beatn him.. you should have no problem speacially auto tranny

wow, those 2 extra cylinders for the lincoln v8 remove a whopping .6 seconds off its 0-60 times. how anti climactic...

each .5 liter cylinder is putting out an astronomical 30hp aprox that seems off for a 4 valve motor at 64hp per liter thats like half of what honda does with their 115hp per liter of displacement.

I was with a friend of mine in his MB C43 AMG, ended up racing a V8 LS, they're slow, im pretty sure a K03 A4 with chip exhaust and intake could take it.

And if he misses a shift, or just is poor with the manual trans. My friend after 8 years of driving his GTI still shifted really poorly. His VR6 lost to my un-modded car when we raced.

The v8 version techically runs 6.8 0 to 60 bonestock.(carpoint) Also, the auto/tip tranny that lincoln uses is on a whole new level then that of audis. Its shifts are fast and you can really control, heck you have bounce every gear off the limiter if you want, won't change for you. Also, ive taken my pops to about 140mph and its still pulling HARD when it hits the gov. Im not sure about the v6, but the rwd really helps them out with there lack of hp more then you think.

The LS-V8 is a fun car, my brother is thinking about getting that. He is in LA and doesn't want AWD or an A4 (back seet is far too small for his kids)
