what is the difrence between the urS4 & the urS6

so i was wondering what the difrences are between the ur s6 and ur s4. i am picking up a 95 s6 in a couple days and wanted to know what the big chages between them are. any thing i should look for? also who makes chips and or any basic upgrades for these cars. thanks for any help.

There is very little difference between the 200, UrS4 and UrS6. There are minor things from year to year though, and were some changes between 95 S6's and 95.5 S6's which escape me at the moment.

Lots of people make upgrades. RS2 conversion is popular going all out for the inline 5's. I've heard lots of good about mtm products for them.

They are getting some years on them so typical stuff to look for. Coils were sometimes an issue too, but pretty cheap simple fix.

Generlly, the cars softened and added luxury features as they went on. The best one, IMHO was the first year urS4, with carbon dash trim, and a stiffer suspension with a rear sway bar.

RobT's right MTM RS2 cars are rockets. 034 motorsport in the US and dialynx in the UK build some very fast I5's.

Actually the first year urS4(92) did have a stiffer suspension,but had solid moonroof(not glass like 93),steel IC(aluminum in 93),wood trim(carbon fiber in 93),ABS on/off button,rear sway bar,boost gage in dash between speedo and tacho...just to name a few

BUT front and reaf bumpers differed in the urS6,and gage faces changed..

The urS4 was based on the Audi 100 series. Front clip is taller and has taller grill and headlight assemblies. In addition, there is a "rub strip" that runs all the way around the car, including bumper skins. the urS6 is based on the Audi A6 and has a different front clip. It is flatter and has a skinnier grille and headlight assemblies. There is no rub strip on the urS6 (like the urS4). There is a door ding strip in the doors, but it is smooth and painted the same as the body. The bumper covers, front and rear, are smooth and painted body colour as well. There are other bits and pieces that change with the years, including electric diff lock, steering wheels, interior trim (wood vs. carbon fibre), express up and down windows and other items. I have a 95 urS6...black on black. Chip, springs, shocks, Porsche 993TT big red brakes, rotors, boost guage on A pillar, wheels, stromung exhuast, O34 high capacity coil packs with integral POS, 034 2 bar wastegate spring, high output headlights, stainless brake lines and a few other goodies. Everyday driver and goes to track fairly regularly. I instruct at High Performance Driving Events for Audi Club, BMW CCA, Porsche Club, SCCA and others. Love it. Own it. Drive it.

They are more or less the same cars! Hans und Franz just had different parts left in their bins :)

MTM chip is my prefference... as essix said Love it, Own it, Drive it !!!
