    Question hmm i spilled gas on the side of my car

    so yea..studying for exams...major flu + cold + headache everything..no rest = over flowing gas...so now the side of my car and my garage smells like gasoline...i cleaned it off with warm water...but how bad is it to my paint?...cani just wait 1 night and spray it over tmr with a pressure hose?

    I've had gas spill on the side of my car - just wiped it off and no signs of paint discoloration.

    You should be fine.

    somedays i like to just spray the car with petrol.. makes for a nice sheen...
    lol, but 3rd the no worries, ive done it once befor about a year ago with ill effect on the paint.

    LOL... at least you won't have gas on the side of your car.

    You should be fine as long as you don't do it often and let it sit there. Then eventually a film layer and it will look like it is discolored.

    You can just wash it off or pressure wash it off... not that it really matters cause gas evaporates when exposed.

    For those that have gas spillage build up, you can polish it by hand with a paint polish and it should come off.
