So were getting a dog in a month (medium F1 bernedoodle), will grow to 40-50 pounds

what do I need to haul him around in the car. I assume when hes older in the trunk with a cargo mat? What about when he's still small and on the back seat.

    thanks in advance

Safest way is an appropriately sized kennel. Gunner makes one of the best-indestructible although heavy.

there is few different custom ones out there also. https://transk9.com/select/audi/audi...-2019-present/

either way if dog is in the trunk or back, they need to be strapped in. If the dog is in the trunk, and you are in a crash, you don't want 50-100lb dog flying from the back, all the way forward.

There is also metal gaurds you can get that go above the rear seat instead of the mesh.

I bought multiple protection things that go up the sides and cut one up to protect the doors from scratches. I have the Carbon package so I'm not letting my dogs scratch up the carbon door and Alcantara. At max dog capacity I have 320# of dogs back there. 120# Great Pyrenees, 160# Saint Bernard and a 40# mutt.

what are you using for doors? I tried these but seems the little plastic part you slide down between glass/door frame to hold it up is to thick to fit down on our cars and didn't want to push to hard with fear of scratching the tint
