Contemplating selling my 2011 S5 to make space for a 997 that I have a line on. I picked this S5 up on BaT last summer and have since put about 800 dry sunny day miles on it. Car is mint, inside and out, top to bottom, and needs absolutely nothing. After buying the car I had a comprehensive service performed including all fluids and spark plugs. I have added Bilstein coilovers, OEM 19" Rotors, and have replaced the front resonators with JHM straight pipes (the cats and the rear OEM mufflers are untouched). I also added an 034 trans mount and Cocomats. I have all original parts for the car including the wheels. I also have a binder of all documentation on the car including the original window sticker and every service record since new. Up until the most recent service, everything was done at the selling dealer. Clean Carfax which shows all maintenance entries.

Here is the link the BaT auction when I bought the car. I am now the second owner. Car drives like new and is ready for cross country travel.

I am into the car for about $45k which is what I'm asking for it at this time. Car is garaged in the NY area.

Unfortunately the market won’t warrant that ask on here. You may want to try it on carsnbids or bring a trailer.

Yes, I tend to agree and appreciate the candid feedback. Forums are generally a terrible place to sell a car. I'm not listing it anywhere else at this time. Maybe i'll get serious about moving it later in the year and cast a wider net.

They’re actually one of the best places to sell a car for its actual value to a true enthusiast. I’ve sold quite a few cars on forums and gotten their values.

Yeah, this. Having bought it on BaT its an easy resell there. You may get a little more than originally purchased but you wont get everything back out of it.

    GLWS, they're nice cars.

It is a difficult car to find comps on. I've only seen a couple of B8 manuals with low mileage in the last couple of years, and those were both on BaT. I try to keep an eye on Autotrader and i've never seen one with less than 70k miles. Most are 100k miles plus cars. I have never been particularly concerned about losing or making money on a weekend car when I buy it. I buy it to enjoy it and any depreciation is the price to pay for that pleasure. Sometimes I lose money, sometimes I break even, and sometimes I get lucky and make a few bucks. I only buy low mileage, unmolested, zero-question cars with documented service histories. If I had a 20 car garage I'd probably still own most of them.
