    RS6 Perf stars in Mobland on Pluto

    My husband was watching Mobland on Pluto and told me I should watch to see the RS6 which is very prominently shown in many scenes. It’s on Pluto TV. The story is a UK crime drama set in London and the UK countryside. The RS6 is driven by the main character played by Tom Hardy. It looks like Daytona Grey with black wheels which appear to be the 2024/2025 wheels. Pierce Brosman and Helen Mirren are also featured.

    No affiliation with the show or the network. Found it interesting that they’re featuring the car. The only other time I’ve seen an RS6 on TV was a European race that was using the RS6 as a pace/safety car.

    For the short time I watched the show it is well done. Subtitles helped as the accents made much of the dialogue incomprehensible.

    Ha, I was so excited when I saw it. My wife was less enthused.

    If you remember the movie Lay3rcake, Daniel Craig also drove an RS6 Avant I believe (albeit an older one).

    @RS3_by_the_Sea: I don’t recall Lay3rcake so I’ll have to look it up!

    Yes, hubby was pretty excited, and I actually sat down to watch it and it appeared to me that they were spending more camera time on the car than necessary - as though there was a minimum number of seconds (or some measure) needed to feature it.

    I think the car suits the role quite well. It has a bit of a “sinister” look without being too flashy. Perfect for the part!

    This series reminds me of The Gentleman (another Guy Ritchie series) which features Land Rovers and the occasional Mercedes. I actually enjoyed that series (but there were some gruesome scenes I couldn’t watch). I find the acting is much better in Mobland. I’ll probably stick with it.

    Ha, I call it my brute in a suit. I think it fits the part.

    There are a lot of VAG cars in that series. VW may have sponsored it.

    ^ I will check out more than a few minutes of one episode. It would make sense that they’re a sponsor if a lot of their products are featured.
