Headlamp lens and HID lens replacement

Hi, a bit of a cross post as i figure I'd get more help/feedback here ( original thread).

Has anyone replaced the outer headlight lens? looking to replace then, but are the typical cheap Ebay/AliExpress the only options? looking for some quality replacement lens. found some from this US seller, but wondering if they're the same cheap Ebay ones?

While i have the headlamp opened, considering replacing the Hid lens as well. Curious if anyone has purchased the HiD lens assembly from Retro fit labs?

    thanks in advance.

Ive not replaced mine per say, but i have completly dissembled my head lights in order to rewire them.

I would not bother replacing the HID lenses, unlss your going to go with honeycomb etched ones.

as for the outer lens, seems like the only option is getting the cheap ebay ones. hoenstly, not worth buying, id keep the OE ones, and get any decent headlight restoration kit where you sand the lenses clear and then add a UV protecting clear coat. I did it, and your local autoparts store kit will probabaly last 2-3 years before yellowing.

Which at like $20 bucks and a couple hours work beats buying cheap lense that will never be clear anyways, and still need sanding anyway, and could be cheap plastic which could crack or let condensation in.

VXT is who used to do lenses for us and no longer does. Hit/Miss on the rest.

You don't need a whole new assembly, but rather depending how much you want to do/invest in doing, https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...ictures-added), the glass lenses we have replaced.

Of course, there is always cleaning the glass lenses as well, with whatever ~20yrs of haze has built up on them.

I got the cheap ones off Aliexpress, and they seem fine. One or 2 little tweaks needed, but no big deal. I'm using them on my custom light build, they were $45/shipped. Will need to wait a few years to see how they hold up though..
Got clear corners from VXtuning though.
