What brake pads/rotors for a daily driver with 2-3 track days a year?

I have a 2021 RS5 on the OEM steel brakes/rotors. They're due for replacement and I'm curious what aftermarket benefits are compared to OEM? I daily the car and go to 2-3 track days a year in the summer.

Do you run 2 sets of rotors/pads or is it ok to run 1 set for both daily and track use?
What rotors and pads do you recommend for daily/track use?

The 034 pads seem to the best for the situation you're describing. Rotors you can go with girodisc or JHM

I can’t speak anything for the track portion but I drive my RS5 as a daily driver and don’t hold back much. I just swapped rotors for rear (front oem rotors were still good enough) for the Girodisc and used RedStuff pads all around. No complaints for either set. I did notice less of the initial bite that comes with oem pads and brake application is much more linear (requires a little more initial pedal-push) but also much less brake dust and no squeaks. RedStuff is advertised for aggressive street driver so fits my needs. I plan to swap front rotors to Girodisc also once they’re needed.

I'll probably go with girodisc rotors. My local performance shop recommended those rotors as well and I've been reading online that they're popular. Anyone have any experience with girodisc GP10 brake pads? These were recommended by my local shop as well. Deciding between these and EBC reds. but Im worried the reds wont be as good on the track.

I went with Girodisc front and rear rotors for my RS5 last year. I went with Hawk HPS 5.0 pads because, at the time, neither 034 or Girodisc offered pads. Girodisc had offered pads in the past but when I contacted them they said that due to quality control issues with their supplier, they had stopped selling the RS5 pads. I guess they got the issues sorted out.

EBC red is not a track pad, it is a street pad
