So I am about 6 weeks(!) into driving a dealership loaner Q7. I thought I'd share some thoughts on this vehicle. This is a 2025 Q7 premium plus with the 3.0T.
First off, this is a much bigger vehicle than the Q/SQ5 that is my daily. It feels more along the lines of a Tahoe/Yukon although not physically that large. With that in mind it is definitely not a performance vehicle! Power is certainly adequate but not any kind of 'smile on your face' experience. Passing at highway speeds is easy, and cruising is extremely refined.
The cabin is extremely quiet, good quality feel throughout, and very good visibility all around. I'm not a huge fan of the piano black trim and haptic screens, but that seems to be the way of the world lately. Windows, steering wheel and hatch/sunroof are all still physical buttons.
I have spent far too much time fiddling with the driver assistance package! There doesn't seem to be any way to separate the lane assist from the passive alerts such as dash warning and side mirror LEDs. As such, it is...cautious. Cruise control is the worst. Seemingly random steering corrections, braking and warnings. Maybe it just needs calibration? Still not sure about that.
Overall I haven't found anything I felt was cheap or poorly executed except for the ugly trim. Screens are nice and visible in all kinds of light, seats are comfortable and roomy, lots of cargo space and rear legroom. Let me know if I forgot anything! I'll add some pics later today.
