Kyalami Green RS3 8Y owners - Any regrets on color

I know there are probably only a few owners on this site, but any regrets? I am considering trading my perfect Mythos 8Y for Kyalami.

I was terrified for 6 months after I submitted my build, but after taking delivery, I’m extremely happy with Kyalami. In my opinion, it looks better in person than in photos, and although it’s bright, it’s somehow not obnoxious. If you like it on paper, go for it. There’s a reason Audi used it for the launch spec…

I think it looks so bad in pictures, when I had one land in my lap to see if we wanted, I didn't show my wife the color. She only saw it in person and well..... the color is fucking awesome so yeah we ended up with it. It's profoundly great in person and gets lots of compliments, or if you're my neighbor, you ask if we got a discount on it for the color. LOoooL. Either you love it or you hate it but man the love it crowd is much greater than the not love.

If you want your car to feel special every time you drive it it's the perfect color. If you want a sleeper that most people will mistake for an A3/S3 and to avoid cops then get something else. Personally I love it.

It definitely stands out! Mixed feelings on owning a bright green car - would be fun on some days but others I don't want to "shout" and I love the sleeper aspect of these cars

Absolutely love it. Yes you stand out, but as others have said it isn’t obnoxious. Only other color I was considering is red, but my WRX was red so I went with a fun color.

Part of me thinks vivid colors only work on a Lambo, GT3 RS etc, but I do understand the desire to stand out in a literal sea of black, white, and grey/silver cars. I think "nardo grey" looks like sh*t

A green Civic or Corolla for example is kind of pathetic

The color pops insane, literally was shining in the dark too last night despite little light sources. Its a beautiful color better in person.

The green is great on the road, so much presence. Only 8Y RS3 Ive seen in public was the green and i about broke my neck watching it go by. We buy these cars to be different, and the green knocks it out of the park..

Even dark greens suffer the issue.

Basically the most compliments I ever got on a car and I had many flashy cars. This color is an eye turner on the RS3, you just don't see them. I highly recommend it.

Gonna buck the trend and say I wouldn't trade. It's a little too loud, but hey, if it makes you happy I'm all for it.

I saw one in Burlington, VT and overheard a group of people saying "who's that douche" though so it is definitely polarizing regardless

Disagree with pretty much everything you're carrying in here man - car is primarily my wife's but it just looks fun and bright it's not some ostentatious car so it's not carrying that kind of energy I don't feel. 99% of the time it's positive interactions or none at all. It's also got a lot of depth to the color, just makes you smile. Wife and I call it the skittle.

Anyone saying someone is a douche for any material thing they have, is in fact, the douche. It shows they have jealousy issues and also that they inordinately care what others think. Case in point alongside the RS3 I roll a Type R and M2. The Type R looks like some ridiculous toy from a Voltron cartoon and I fuckin love it.

Well at this point I was considering wrapping my Mythos 8Y nardo grey. I just know seeing the black door jambs would drive me insane and it cost a ton to do the jambs. I bought my Mythos for one reason, the green RS design package which looks amazing. I came into an opportunity to get a new 2024 Kyalami Green RS (still in route) and I am going for it!!

Relax - I'm not carrying anything, live and let live - nor do I think that driving a Kawasaki green car is necessarily a bad thing (I'm a Gen 1 ZX-10R and Ultra 300X owner), just thought the comment was funny

I was certain I was going to order a Python Yellow but family talked me in to toning it down to Kemora. While I usually love the Kemora, there are certainly times I regret not getting Python. Just human nature to second guess ourselves forever I guess.

The python yellow is a sick car. I had one on order but after 14 months my dealer found me a Turbo blue before they stopped production. I was so ready for the Python yellow on black optics that I was actually 50/50 when I switched colors. I think the Python Yellow looks much better that originally thought.

I really like the Yellow paint too, but once you have any color in the interior, the all black seems so dull. The green RS Design package ruined me in with my Mythos car. At least the other colors make the red stitching a viable option.

Agree completely. I would have chosen green or yellow based on which had a matching interior package.

if I wasn't planning on dailying mine I would've 100% ordered it in green. I think it's easily the best looking color out of the small selection pool. Dailying it would just attract too much unwanted attention imo

I like the green, and I love loud colors, but I agree that daily it would be too much for me.

Makes you pretty identifiable if you are hooning around also, "there goes that asshole in the loud green car"

I jumped on the first '22 my dealer got, which was white. I wrapped it green, copied from the Audi R8 Green Hell edition. I get compliments everywhere I go and the interior white of the door does not bother me. The main issue is white shows if there are any chips in the wrap but that has not been a signficiant problem. In a few years, I plan to take off the wrap and have a very clean white car. I think a wrap is a great option if you can't get your ideal color.
