VAG-COM Diagnostic System
VCDS (an abbreviation for "VAG-COM Diagnostic System" and formerly known as VAG-COM) is a Microsoft Windows-based software package, developed and produced by Ross-Tech, LLC since May 2000.
Vag rhymes with sag and wag... it does not rhyme with badge

What don't we go around saying we drive and Auto Union S5, just because it used to be called that at one time.

We have been calling it vagcom for 25 years. Presumably longer than you have been doing this.

It's a little bit like the never-ending attempt to get the car guys to call 'em Bimmers and leave Beemer to the bikes. Ain't gunna happen much.
I does elicit a giggle when some rhyme VAG with badge, tho'.

Imagine when he finds out what "VCDS" is an acronym for?

Imagine when you find out why it's an acronym... Which turns out to be the reason why they can't call it VAG-COM anymore.
Hence the name "change" to VCDS.. Which is in fact the actual current name of the product.

Imagine when you figure out that we dont give a shit, and will continue to call it vagcom.
