Psyched for this. Literally this weekend was trying to do some test and tunes on the fly and having issues because my laptop battery was bad. Problem solved!318428

Just finally got into the garage and of course I can't get it to connect to the OBD2 device. Did you do anything special to get the Bluetooth to connect?

Negative. I just downloaded the app, connected the dongle, pressed the start/stop button and it connected and updated.

I had to hold my phone next to the plugged in dongle to get it to connect the first time. It dowloaded and updated the dongle and then after that it connected no problem.

There must be something wrong with the Bluetooth functionality with my dongle. I don't know. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I plugged it into my computer to ensure it was updated. And I even tried to put my phone near the dongle. Nothing worked. I'm going to have to reach out to 034 Motorsport I guess. This went from a post of excitement, to a post of disappointment.

Do you have the newer dongle or the older one? Which USB connector do you have on yours… B or C?

I have the proper dongle, USB c. I just purchased this tune like a month or two ago directly from 034.

What about connecting a battery charger to change the tune? I assume that's still required, but I don't see anything about that either on the 034 website or Google Play Store.

It's highly recommended because they don't know the condition of your current battery. There's an hour-long session they have on YouTube where they talk about the release of this new application and make some comments about this. If your battery is in good condition you're probably fine for our car. They made mention of some of the Volkswagen Tunes taking 25 to 30 minutes. The S5 tune takes about 7 minutes for the engine the first time.
