I've made an effort to read the owners manual (multiple times!) and there are still a number of features on our '23 S5 that I'm unfamiliar with, or haven't had an opportunity to experiment with. I thought I'd have a look at the Audi USA website this evening and look through their various video tutorials. Somewhere along the way, I happened upon a surprisingly well-done Q&A PDF document for the 2023 A5/S5/RS5. It was good enough to entice me to go out in the garage at midnight and play around with the the buttons, switches and options to see how they worked. The document is so much better than the manual as far as what was covered. I learned things about the HVAC controls, the Cruise Control functions, Driver Assistance features, Steering Wheel controls, and a page of the dash display indicator lights (which are so tiny in the owners manual that they're almost useless), etc. I'm adding the link to the PDF below. I hope you'll find it as helpful as I have. Happy 4th of July to all!

Thanks for posting that. Nice having the manual but it gets a bit overwhelming and sometimes frustrating trying to find stuff. Usually I just experiment and try figuring it out myself using the manual last. This scaled down version makes it much easier (IMO).

Wow I had no idea about the residual heat function. Pretty cool thanks for posting!

Pretty cool, thanks for posting this. I had to Google a few of the indicator lights when I first got the car.

Prolly a dumb question, but is the asterisk (*) button on the right side of the steering wheel on limited trims? My b9.5 doesn't have that (my steering wheel looks like what is pictured on pg2).

The asterisk (*) button allows the button to be programmed for various functions. Some have enabled Homelink garage door control using this button as I recall. Perhaps others can share what they've used this programmable button to do. The button that your car (and mine) has is to turn on the steering wheel's heated function. Never used it in the 5 months I've owned the car but it should come in handy when the weather really gets cold.

I have mine set to change the driving mode.

Thanks for this, my Dad has had Audi's forever, but still a lot to learn for my first.

So here's a simple tip that I just learned about and thought I'd pass on. Whenever you're completing a trip in your B9.5 and are going to park your car, you typically move the shifter into Park, then depress the Start/Stop button to turn off the engine. And if parking on a slope, you also want to set the electronic parking brake. Two or three simple steps right? What if you could skip one or even two of those steps? Well you can, and here's how ...

Instead of moving the shifter from Drive into the Park mode, simply push the Start/Stop button and the car will automatically shift the transmission into Park and the engine will shut off. Not only that, but the car can detect whether you're parking on a slope, and if you are, the electronic parking brake will automatically be set without your direct intervention. A disclaimer is in order though. This procedure works as described on my '23 S5. It may or may not work on other models or model years.

That should give you 1 or 2 seconds of your life back -- use them wisely!
