I have the Bilstein B14 PSS coilovers on mine. They ride good, a tad softer than I'd like personally, but overall great riding coilovers.

In stock form it had EMD lowering springs on when i got the car. It rode good but it was harsh on bumps and uneven pavement, mostly due in part because of the mag ride. The bilstein pss's ride much better despite being roughly half a inch lower than the lowering springs were. It soaks up bumps better and just rides better overall. My only complaint, which is subjective, is that its slightly softer than I would like. I prefer a firm/bouncy ride, but like I said, most people will feel like its a perfect ride and the fact that Ive owned the car with the lowering springs to begin with, I couldnt compare factory stock springs to the coilovers.

on the rs3, this is 100% accurate, the pss,s are to soft, mine just bounced on its bumpstops all day long and it wasnt all that low, probably perfect for other MQB cars but not the rs3, i couldn't stand it.

IMHO the Evo S looks like a cost savings version of the PSS and PSS10, its painted, smaller shaft diameter, cheaper collars.

The setup is exactly as you describe, too soft and easily collapses hitting bump stops. In retrospect, I should have gone with KW's which I was considering but was talked out of.

I remember inquiring about the evo s. They aren't rs3 specific. the other bilstein products arent either. Seems the kw v3 are the only ones built specific to the rs3

After some research I went ahead and ordered the H&R Streets. After reading some reviews everything that I saw was coming back as they are stiff/firm riding coilovers, so I pulled the trigger on a set. I shouldnt have any issues selling the Bilstein PSS's as the part number fits literally every MQB model and they are practically brand new. So if anyone is interested in a lightly used set of Bilsteins just let me know.

Wanted to update my last post. I cancelled my order for the H&R Street Performance coilovers, instead I went with the KW V3's. Will post my impressions once they come in from Germany.

KW V3's installed. As far as I can tell, do not waste your money with anything else.
