Recently, every time the car (2017 a6 c7)starts and the MMI comes on, I get a NOTE on the screen saying that I have entered an incorrect PUK more that 10 times, check your sim card. What prompts this, how can I fix it, and is it related to the new phones that we have? The MMI recognizes the phones, has the contacts downloaded and I can make calls as I should. Could the new phones with new sim cards cause the MMI NOTE to pop up? Very frustrating. Thanks!

Can anyone help me out with this problem? I have a PUK for the new phone but I don't know how to put it in the MMI (if that's what I need to do). Maybe I should query the phone support people?

Did you delete all the old phones? What is the new phone and carrier? As best I can tell, issues with the Personal Unlocking Key are on the phone side, not the MMI side.

That's what I finally decided. I called and got a new PUK so we will see what happens. And yes, I did delete the old phones. I hope the Note that keeps popping up will disappear. Thanks Alabama.

Well, to update.... still no relief from the cell company or the MMI. Consumer Cellular says it is on the MMI side, i.e. if the wrong PUK is in the phone, the phone would ask to correct the problem with a popup screen. Could the MMI be reading a hidden screen on the phone? Could something be wrong with SIM in the car MMI? I am at a total loss. I hate to drive into a dealer...

Very frustrating. What phone do you have from Consumer Cellular? What kind of SIM - physical or eSim? Maybe borrow a different phone from a friend and try to sync that one. If you succeed, that would suggest the problem is with your phone, not the MMI.
