Hi Guys,

can sameone explain this? I often find Audi A6 C7 2015/2016 that is not sline, but have (almost) identical front bumper as s-line. If you look closely, you can see only two differences on whole s-line package - there is chrome around fog light (there are versions without fog light and they have just a straight chrome trim) and on the back, there is honeycomb mesh.

So it seams that Audi offer only two details on the s-line package or I'm missing something? Was that a sport package or something like that?

The difference between S and S-Line

S-Line models receive a different body kit consisting of front and rear bumpers, exhaust tips, side skirts, and alloy wheels in a larger, wider design. This helps improve the handling somewhat as larger, wider tyres are fitted as opposed to the Standard or Advanced lines.

We had a little discussion about this a little while ago. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/965224-S-line-bumper-differences

Regarding your photo comparisons, both front bumpers are S-line for US/North America. Chrome around the Door handles/ACC/Grille/Windows/Trunk lid is standard unless you have black optics package. I'm unsure of the detail in the diffuser: both go into the S-Line bumper and are 1 piece on A cars but multi piece on S cars, my A6 TDI S-line rear diffuser looked more like the one on the right with honeycomb in it.

I've seen non S-Line versions of my car. Instead of honeycomb in the foglights, there are horizontal slats. No honeycomb to be found. Different exhaust tips. Different rear diffuser. I don't know if they do it anymore but the roof liner was always black no matter what the interior color was black. Not sure how many years this happened, but the cars with the tech package superseded the S-Line door sills and you got illuminated door sills that had no S-Line.

The best way to tell if you think something is off is check the VIN.

This is from the brochure. But look at the picture, they are 99% identical, you could have same body kit but without s-line.

Thanks for the link, that guy had same question I wrote :)

On my picture, that isn't US/America versions, they are European versions. US versions have direction light in the headlight, as I know...

One more example, this car doesn't have s-line interior or exterior, but front bumper is almost identical to S-Line package bumper.

Yep on the same observation, for the US it's easy for us to tell what is and is not S-Line vs. what appears to be various regional differences. Yeah, we get ugly sidemarkers unless we get Euro lights or open them up and delete it.
