Six months ago I installed iSweep IS1500 front brake pads on my 2021 TTS. They make a squealing noise even after applying CRC Brake Quiet. So, now I'm replacing them with EBC Red Stuff pads. I called EBC to get some installation advice. They said that I should NOT use CRC Brake Quiet. I'd be interested in anyone's experience with EBC Red Stuff pads:

Do yours squeal?
Did you install the pads with or without CRC Brake Quiet (or Permatex, etc)?
Did you install them with or without the metal shim that EBC clips onto the brake pad backing plate?
If you used CRC successfully, did you apply it between the backing plate and shim, between the shim and pistons, or both?

Thanks

Some pad and rotor combos just seem to squeak especially after they get wet. Shimming and all that doesn't usually solve the problem. A god ceramic pad is the best option to resolve.

I think the Carbotech 1521 is a great option and Pete from 529innovations.com will hook you up with a great price.

For future reference, I'll answer my own questions:

The pads made noise for the first 150 miles, but by 275 miles the squeal went away.
I did not use CRC.
I did use the included shims.
