I aquired the latest firmware and what I believe is the latest USA/NAR map updates for C7

I'd be willing to put them on SD Cards and mail them to people if you cover the costs/shipping. Not sure where a good spot is to upload them for sharing as the map card is quite massive.

The MMI update goes quick but the map update took around 90 minutes. I left the car running for each update.

** You do need GREEN MENU enabled for the MMI Update ** --- VCDS required to enable that
The map update should only be applied if you are on the latest MMI firmware

Forgot to mention - vcds and / or access to the green menu is a prerequisite as cars with b&o and bose audio need to enable user defined mode. Simple to do with green menu but if you accidently update them you may have to pay $ the dealer a visit. With green menu you can opt out of updates for the sound system and still install the Mmi update.

I saw that but am skeptical. I tried to download this same file from someone hosting on that server and couldn't get it to work. I don't want anyone bricking their Mmi. If someone actually owns some server space I would upload it. Mega doesn't seem reliable for something that if done wrong could create an expensive dealer visit. I'm willing to do it but I don't recommend it.

That screen just goes down the list of every region loaded in the database (Bahamas, Mexico, USA, etc) and states the year loaded (2015). It's several pages long.

That is an MIB2 unit, face-lift mmi. This thread is referring to preface lift 3G+ mmi. I have a map update if you want to try it. Who activated your carplay, did they also fix your unit to be able to update maps? From factory you only get a limited number of updates, so that would need to be coded to allow more/unlimited.

Updated our '14 A4q MMI 3G+ from NAR 6.22.1 2020/2021 successfully Tuesday evening. DTCs 03267 (SVM) and 03677 (Missing FSC) were noted after the update. DTC 03267 was cleared successfully using the checksum fix to Address 5F Adaptation Channel 15 (using my old XTools VAG401 handheld). DTC 03677 was cleared in the GEM under /dtc/control with value "84". So far, so good. Thanks for offering this to the AZ community. --g

I'm shipping the maps out on brand new quality SD cards so there should be no issues installing as long as you are on current firmware.

C7.5 (2016+ for USA) are a different set.

You need someone to add the lifetime license to your car, then get the map file.

I get that my database is out.... looks like the current is NAR 6.24.1. Is that correct?

It's the Firmware that's killing me. You guys keep talking about K0942_3 & 6... where the heck does P0726 fit into all these?

As best I can tell, firmware P0726 was original in about 2014 for your 2014 C7. The most recent version is K_0942, which was released several years ago. Newer map updates require that the firmware be updated first. You are correct that the current map database is NAR 6.24.1.

My Bose system and my standard Carplay was not negatively affected. So Im pretty happy. I know there are sites that say if you have to pay for it you are getting ripped off. Those sites are beyond my paygrade. This system was very easy that I could do this install. Believe me, I was worried about messing things up. Just be patient when the install is in progress. Maps took the longest about 40 min.

There is no cost to perform this task and anyone charging you more than the cost of a couple SD cards and shipping is ripping you off.

The risk here is minimal, as the tools used are pretty well regarded, but there's always chance -- so please keep that in mind before proceeding!

Before starting, ensure that you have at least 1 32GB SD card (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GYG6T12) (not micro-SD) available (ideally, you should have 2 or 3 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GY9575R) -- but you can make do with 1 32GB SD card and USB stick at a minimum).

First off, you're going to want to ensure you have the latest MMI firmware (if you're not already). For C7.5 MIB2 (MHI2) A6/A7 that is going to be K3341 -- which I've made available here (https://mega.nz/file/c6AnhJSZ#Ns0Z8CEtzFeYuhL3EF6bZfTGkqDuN_6XrK2A5Vvhq Jk) (1.51GB). The nuts and bolts to updating firmware is beyond the scope of this write-up, see here for a tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FlHM9VZl_s).

This process is completely reversible and a full IFS backup is made (internally and to your SD card) before any changes are performed -- so if you wish to revert all changes and return to stock, you certainly can.

Once this process completes, that's it! Your system has now been updated to the latest maps and your FEC has been patched to allow any future updates as well. Once (if?) 2023-2024 maps are made available you can perform the last step in the process above without needing to patch again. Have fun! [wrench]

Mango you are free to start your own thread and distribute files from shady servers. The map files are not freeware, they do have a cost associated. I've been charging $35 shipped, if that's a rip off in your view, I'm not sure you are an Audi owner to begin with.

I will not advise people to download massive files from Mega and unpack them to SD card to be installed in a car where a corrupt install could be a costly visit to a dealer.

I paid for the OEM maps and am cloning them for a fraction of the price. I use brand new quality SD cards and verify the checksum. I'm doing this to help out the local C7 community and to try and keep anyone from bricking their MMI.

Aren't you two referring to different software for different cars? I believe jimingle10 has software for the C7, while magn2o has software for the C7.5. Not so? In which case, it's not a competition. I already vouched for jimingle10 in post #40 in this thread. Easy dealing, prompt mailing, good quality SD cards. Allowing some value for a person's time, I don't see a lot of profit in this endeavor but fair value for me.

Hi Jimingle10 - does your OEM data of 8R0060884JE have both the complete "MMI3G" and "MMI3GP" directories? Or another way to check, what is the total size of the map data? I'm curious if it includes the original MMI 3G High (HNav, not plus) map data, it would be a fantastic resource if so.

It seems like all non-OE distributors strip out either the MMI 3G High or 3G+ data to fit on smaller SD cards tailored for each MMI generation.

Another vouch for Mr Jinngles here. Shipped them quickly, provided instructions and even took calls and texts to make sure the process went smooth. 30 min for firmware update and a little over an hour for the maps, just took a slow drive both times and didn't have any issues.

That would be sweet! I got my '11 S4's nav working again using 2016 maps a month ago (which is way better than completely broken--what happens when you wipe your nav partition to install an update and then discover that the update doesn't have all the files you need), but I wouldn't mind newer maps.

That would be fantastic, the OEM data comes with all of the data for both 3G High and 3G+ but it seems that the commonly available distributed versions strip out the 3G High data.

It'd be handy if anyone that has picked up the SD card from Jimingle10 could take a look at which files are on the SD card.

I get that my database is out.... looks like the current is NAR 6.24.1. Is that correct?

It's the Firmware that's killing me. You guys keep talking about K0942_3 & 6... where the heck does P0726 fit into all these?

Am I just that far out on firmware?

This is exactly what my wifes 2014 Q7 TDI has, same firmware and map data. I think I have the correct firmware for this car but need to confirm if this update (or her car for that matter) contains the Bose update. I know this can be an issue with the A6 C7.5 in particular so that part needs to be skipped.

Yes, I think you and @Botbasher are both just that far out on MMI firmware releases.
You must have earlier 2014 models.

I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this but it does seem to fit.

Bluetooth / phone were the lions share . I noticed the entire mmi system was a little snappier / responsive and boots a little quicker.

One of the bugs that I got quite a bit was the volume being unavailable on startup. That hasn't happened since.

@magn20. Can't thank you enough for uploading to mega. I was going crazy trying to download the map update from other site. I'm also fully updated to K3441 w/AA&Carplay. Took a bit of time to figure it out but well worth it.

I highly doubt i'll ever use the internal NAV again having AA now, but, heh.. why not?

If you really want to achieve this, it is possible with a lot of time and patience. I had help from the guys on the MIB2 telegram chat, which are amazing!

If anyone with C7.5 MIB2 (MHI2) wants to update to the NAR 2022/2023 maps, I've tried to make it a little easier by aggregating the necessary firmware and maps packages and placing them on MEGA. There is no cost to perform this task and anyone charging you more than the cost of a couple SD cards and shipping is ripping you off.

As with any kind of tinkering, there is always a risk. Hardware can randomly fail, users can make errors, etc.
The risk here is minimal, as the tools used are pretty well regarded, but there's always chance -- so please keep that in mind before proceeding!

Before starting, ensure that you have at least 1 32GB SD card (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GYG6T12) (not micro-SD) available (ideally, you should have 2 or 3 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GY9575R) -- but you can make do with 1 32GB SD card and USB stick at a minimum).

First off, you're going to want to ensure you have the latest MMI firmware (if you're not already). For C7.5 MIB2 (MHI2) A6/A7 that is going to be K3341 -- which I've made available here (https://mega.nz/file/c6AnhJSZ#Ns0Z8CEtzFeYuhL3EF6bZfTGkqDuN_6XrK2A5Vvhq Jk) (1.51GB). The nuts and bolts to updating firmware is beyond the scope of this write-up, see here for a tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FlHM9VZl_s).

Next, once your firmware has been updated, you're going to need M.I.B. (More Incredible Bash) (https://github.com/Mr-MIBonk/M.I.B._More-Incredible-Bash). This will patch your IFS, allowing you to update beyond your 'allocated' 3-5 free map updates (based on your production year) (additionally, you can also enable CarPlay/Android Auto if you need to). Installation is easy, you just need a 32GB SD card (you can reuse the one used for the firmware above if needed) and then follow the instructions to install (https://github.com/Mr-MIBonk/M.I.B._More-Incredible-Bash/wiki/Prepare-M.I.B-SD-card-&-install-M.I.B) (make sure to download the patches (https://mega.nz/file/xzZREKqB#3it_M59vdgPfi-Y_90xAFHh2WEUbMPJYBuskCczEbME) (466.9MB), too!) This process is completely reversible and a full IFS backup is made (internally and to your SD card) before any changes are performed -- so if you wish to revert all changes and return to stock, you certainly can.

Now that your MMI has been updated and your IFS has been patched, you can then download the updated maps (https://mega.nz/file/QyICnBjT#JubqIhgTMtKdpZzutMvuNSfDbYw9c4fmlaXiID43Y 3c) (10.59GB) and extract them to either a separate 32GB SD card (do not erase/overwrite your M.I.B. SD card!) or USB stick. Once everything has been extracted, perform the update the same way you did the firmware above. The process can take around ~45m, so make sure to either have your car running or that it's hooked up to a battery charger!

Once this process completes, that's it! Your system has now been updated to the latest maps and your FEC has been patched to allow any future updates as well. Once (if?) 2023-2024 maps are made available you can perform the last step in the process above without needing to patch again. Have fun! [wrench]

Just performed this today on my 2016 RS7 and it worked great. Software is updated to the lates and ACP is activated. One issue I'm running into is updating the maps. I've downloaded the file and exported it to a separate SD card. Once loaded and I go through the install process through Red (REM). Once it gets to the page where the overview of what is being installed is listed, when I scroll to the bottom the "Start Update" is grayed out and won't let me go any further. Any thoughts on this? TIA.

Hey y'all! An attempt was made....and didn't make it past the MMI firmware update. I'm guessing the version listed here is incorrect for my specific vehicle, 2016 A6 2.0. I bought it around a month ago, mostly because it has been cared for. I drove a 2018 3.0 and loved the power and ACP, but overall it was in rough shape.

My current version: MHI2_US_AU57x-S0536 MU 0387

When I tried to upgrade to the K3341 I received an error
A variant conflict occurred!
Main unit variant: MHI2_US_AU57x_S0536
Version description variant: Train is blocked

When I checked the One site it showed the K3341 as well, but I saw K0538 and K0539 as other possible options. Would one of those be more appropriate? If the K3341 is the correct one, maybe I copied the files over to the SD card incorrectly, but I don't think so. The root of the card has all the folders starting with ones named AMP_BAO_P3, Bose6416A, as well as the metainfo2 in it.

Any ideas? TIA!!

One thing I'm noticing in my research into my issue is that folks are reporting problems with updating from Sxxxx to Kxxxx firmware. I looked at the metainfo2 text file and my version is not listed as a Supported Train for that update. Do I need to update to an older version before updating to K3341?

Assuming you need what OP wrote about in post #1, I can vouch for receiving software that works on SD cards if they are still being offered. I believe I received them in about a week and no issue with data corruption from an internet download.

Ordered every possible 2023 update for my 2016 Audi A6 3.0T Quattro Prestige. Set aside my Friday afternoon to install these. I did not want to wait to receive the SD cards, so I opted for the digital download and placed the files on my own SD card. I saved time in downloading myself, but I likely could have saved more time if I would have used an individual card for each file instead of using one card. So I updated each file in the order as instructed, then deleted the data off of the card and reformatted each time. All went exceptionally smooth! The Maps update took quite a while, but that was expected based on the size of the file. I have to say...once completed, I could not be more happy with the finished product. Especially since I now have fully functional CarPlay. The price of the files also cannot be beat. I think the dealer wanted to charge me nearly $1k just for the Maps update. Also in pricing the hardware modules for CarPlay, they ran around $800. So for a total price of all SW (SW update, CarPlay, Maps, POIs & speed cameras, and GraceNote), the price of just under 300 GBP cannot be beat. If you have not completed this upgrade yet, you are certainly missing out! I wish I would have found this sooner! Just beware...follow the instructions to the letter and use JDownloader to unzip all of your files to make sure that they are complete. And be patient, as the time to install is well worth the reward. Makes driving/owning my A6 even more enjoyable! This was certainly money well spent. And customer service questions were answered immediately while I was sitting in my car and sending emails when I encountered anything that I was unsure of. Do not waist another minute dealing with your old and outdated MMI system! Make this investment NOW!

I aquired the latest firmware and what I believe is the latest USA/NAR map updates for C7

I'd be willing to put them on SD Cards and mail them to people if you cover the costs/shipping. Not sure where a good spot is to upload them for sharing as the map card is quite massive.

The MMI update goes quick but the map update took around 90 minutes. I left the car running for each update.

Hi, I'm very interested. If you have a cloud service you could either upload the files as they are and then share a read-only link, or compress and split them then upload them to a service like mega alongside the MD5 checksum files and password protect it.

Or where are you located? If you're in my area it would be easier to drop off the SD cards too.

Trying to get this done on my A6. I patched to K3341. Installed MIB. Tried to patch to K3663 and it won't go. Stays at K3341. It does say Audi Phone Connect is there but won't recognize my phone and give me AA.

I can't get the K3663 AIO patch b/c mibsolution.one is down. Anyone have the AIO patch so I can try that? Not sure what else to do.
