Hello all so have a 2008 mk2 Audi TT, 2.0t front wheel drive automatic.

The mag native suspension recently when out. I decided to replace it with the standard suspension (non-magnarid) primarily due to cost. But at any rate I has the suspension light in and decided to follow the steps listed at the below to code out magnaride using VCDS. I was able to execute everything thing except the last step. There is no help bubble and I am unsure of the calculations to make to code the abs. As a result I am experiencing headlight and esp faults. Any help is greatly appreciated. I will include the link and steps below.

https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/audi-magnet-ride-de-coded-only-with-vcds.8830690/

STEP1: remove the fuse 9 from the fuse BOX drivers side.
STEP 2: open vcds -CAN GATEWAY-INSTALATION LIST- un-click mag ride.
STEP3:VCDS-INSTRUMENTS CLUSTER-CODING-change the value according to the bubble and equipment.Character 4(Value 64 = Magnetic Ride chassis).remove 64 from the coding!..
STEP 4:vcds headlight range control --change coding to 0000010 = Headlight range control automatic/dynamic + four-wheel drive + steel springs (PR number 8Q3 + 1X1 + 1BA/1BV)(0000009 for front Wheel Car)..
STEP 5:vcds-ABS module.this is the one...no buble for help in coding.i had coding 0026177.(quattro+mag ride+dsg+v6 engine+340mm brakes).. test many possible codes.but THIS work for me:0017985.. no faults codes,no rewiring,no modules unpluging,no esp problems(not disangaging)..like never had mag ride.

Best,

You have a 4cyl, so your ABS code will be different. Whatever your stock ABS code is, subtract 8192 from it and use that. That’s what the person you got that instruction from did. This worked for me on a 2011 TTS.

The only caveat to mag ride delete via VCDS is that you won’t be able to disable traction control and therefore use launch control. You can, however, automate VCDS to switch all the module codings back and forth with just a click. I did this for auto cross - for daily driving and track use I’d use the above method, but for autox I’d go back to stock coding and just ignore the cluster’s mag ride and headlight control errors all day because launch control was important. I started working on a better canbus solution but sold the car before I could finish testing.

Good luck!
