When I first got my 2018 Q7 it had the factory 285/45/20 Goodyear run-flats. It was only 1 year old but the tires were feathering and started emitting sounds that gave the impression of failing wheel bearings. Fast forward about a month into ownership I ordered a set of Toyo Proxies STIII All Season tires in the 295/45/20 tire size.

I'm about 6/32nds to the wear bars now and they are almost 2 years old with about 15k miles on them. I decided to pro-actively order a new set of tires noticing the backorder with tire sizes that relate to the Q7 fitment and 6/32nds is usually the minimum thread depth that I feel comfortable with for driving through snow accumulated roads. I ordered the tires linked below in the OEM size. Tire rack estimates about a 7 week wait time until delivery. After delivery, I'll get them road forced balanced with a fresh alignment and provide feedback on this thread.

I highly recommend the Pirelli Verde All Season option, I ran these in Saskatchewan for two winters and been just fine on the prairies. I’ve also ran the Goodyear Eagle Sport All Seasons on my 2012 Maxima, they were slightly quieter and sporty but not as good in the winter.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience. I actually recommended the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season to two friends who really like them, however, I chose against them only because 4 of those in my tire size cost about $1604 plus tax.

I feel there are better performers that can be had for less money. As for my selection it was a toss up between the Continental DWS06S plus and the Vredestein Quatrac Pro and I chose the latter to try them out based upon reviews and feedback from other enthusiasts.
