Hey everyone, I just received my 2020 S4 and I was trying to add me as a user today and I'm running into all kinds of problems. I've downloaded and setup the MyAudi app, but it won't connect to the car. Also, it's told me I have to go to the dealership to verify I am me. Then I don't have some translucent key with a number on it to add me as the Key User.
If I go up to the local dealership, will they be able to fix all of this? I'm so frustrated that my eyes are crossed right now. I just want to take it up there and make them set it up. Although since I purchased used from a person, I'm guessing they'll end up charging me the hourly shop rate.
Any insights or help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Congrats on the new car! On the Audi Connect front: You will need the key tag with the number on it. The dealer can order it through the parts department, I believe they are under $100.
With that said, I don’t use the Audi Connect as it has never been reliable and is frequently broken. I wouldn’t pay $1 to get access to it.
Good luck whichever direction you go.

Your dealer may or may not be helpful with the verification step. I also bought 3rd party, and then went in person to one dealer for assistance with verification. I was basically blown off and told they didn't know who could do it and they didn't have time, as I didn't buy the car from them. Attempt number two, I called another dealership before showing up and they were quite helpful - in fact, they did the verification over the phone. Quite surprised, and it turned out to be someone in the finance department that knew exactly what to do.
As the other poster commented, if you can't find this:

You'll need to order it from the parts department:

Thanks for the info. Yes, I just want to register as a user. Right now I can do that but it sounds like just ordering the key tag should resolve this for me.
On the Audi Connect front, I was on the fence, but it sounds like I need to do some more research on it.
Thanks again!

Thank you! I have seen this so looks like I’ll be ordering one. I’ll also take your advice and call ahead before doing the verification.

I was in the same boat as you when I got mine 2 months ago. I ended up finding the translucent code thing on the bottom of the owners manual pouch. Mine was in the cubby on the far left under the dash, not the glove box.
I stopped by the dealership because it was near, and he punched something into the system and a minute later I was on my way.
