I’m a new owner of a 2021 A5 Sportback and have a couple of simple questions:

1) the manual states that there is a valet mode switch in the glove box. I have searched for this but cannot find it. Has this been deleted?

2) the hatch open button on the key fob works but is there a way of closing the hatch using the key fob? A long push on the ‘lock’ button closes all windows and the roof, but does not close the hatch.

Thanks. Loving the car,

Paul

A long press (and hold) of the trunk button should close the trunk if it works the same as the B9 S5.

'20 Sportback here--the valet switch is not on mine, either, I believe because with a hatchback the trunk is not secure from the interior anyway, just lower the seats.

The fob has a hatch button, 2x to open but press and hold (until closed) to close. Or use your foot sweep if you're close to the car.

Thanks for the inputs. The long push on the key fob does work to close the hatch. My error was that I needed to be a lot closer to the vehicle than I thought - closer than the simple double push to open the hatch.

Understood on the Valet button. Thanks for the quick and complete answers,

Paul

A5 does not have the valet mode in the US/CAN because the rear seat backs cannot be locked.
