I recently experienced the joy of replacing the battery on my 2015 Q7. During the process I learned of the need to re-program the car and the information required to do this. What troubles me is that it appears (perhaps I've missed it) that buying a replacement battery with the required information on it forces you to purchase from Audi UNLESS you can match your domestic battery purchase to an OEM battery that matches. (I'm in the USA if this makes a difference. Perhaps it's easier to get this information elsewhere.)

So what I'm proposing is an online spreadsheet archive of batteries, BEM codes, etc. for folks to be able to use to match up their Diehard/Duralast/whatever.

Anyone willing/able to help? I've got a spreadsheet started with what I've been able to glean from Audizine, Audiworld, and whatever else I could find off the Internet.

Also, perhaps someone has already done this?

I appreciate whatever help y'all can provide. Thanks!

No need for BEM code from factory battery. Just go to your Autoparts store (pepboys, AutoZone, orielly's...etc) and buy a properly sized compatible battery. Install thar factory and perform battery coding use VCDS or OBDeleven. Just use the date of battery swap MMDDYYYY00 as battery ID code.

From what I've gleaned from related posts, not all batteries come with BEM codes. And as I've found out this evening, even the BEM codes that do come with the batteries aren't always accepted by VCDS. The BEM off this Diehard battery was rejected/ignored. So having a valid BEM off a matching battery, or at least very similar, may help some people.

I'd love to see this spreadsheet and see if there is consensus. I just purchased a new 000 915 105 CD 75Ah AGM from the dealer. Noticed there is only a QR code sticker on the top and only renders back the following 205#000915105CD # GM7. Not what I was looking for and nothing to input into the OBDEleven.
There is another QR like imprint on the battery followed by 16 digit number. Any one have any ideas or insigth. I want get this thing coded properply.

Thanks

I got a DieHard 93-1 for my 2013 A4 B8 and since putting it in and not knowing what BEM to enter I cannot get it to charge at all, any help would be greatly appreciated.
