headlight bulb replacement.

hello my dad just got a b8.5 today with halogen headlights. we plan to to led on the low beams to not blind anyone with hids. we are doing a bi-xenon retrofit in couple months but for now we need to change the bulb from that ugly ass yellow. does the headlight need to be removed and bumper as well? i see a diy on xenon not halogen.167004

B8.5 headlight removal (xenon or halogen) does not require bumper removal. Your install will go a lot easier with the headlamp removed.

great to hear. any diy om headlight removal? i'm mechanically inclined but have not really looked at it myself.

Remove the lock carrier cover, it’s just the long plastic cover up front when you open the hood. You’ll need a T30 and a long extension. There are a total of (3) T30 screws that just need to be loosened, no need to remove them completely and (1) T30 that holds the headlamp onto the lock carrier, that one needs to be removed. There is one under the plastic cover and two near the back of the headlamp. If you look down onto the headlamp you can see them holding the assembly onto its bracket. Obviously disconnect the connections and pull them out.

wow this is all the info i need. so H7 led into the low beams plug and play and no errors correct?
